Recurrent fungal vaginitis

Recurrent fungal vaginitis

Vaginitis in women is generally caused by bacterial infection. After suffering from vaginitis, the most obvious clinical manifestation is abnormal leucorrhea. Women's leucorrhea will carry some brown substances, and they will also feel lower abdominal pain. If it is fungal vaginitis, special drugs must be used during treatment to fight against this bacteria. So what should we do if fungal vaginitis recurs?

Vaginal candidiasis is a conditional pathogen that parasitizes in the vagina. Under certain circumstances (such as reduced resistance, abuse of antibiotics, excessive estrogen levels in the body, etc.) and excessive fatigue (which will lead to reduced immunity and resistance of the body), they will multiply in large numbers, causing the leucorrhea to become tofu dregs-like and vulvar itching.

Candida albicans has strong adhesion and toxicity to the skin and mucous membranes. It likes to grow in a moist, acidic environment. Its mycelium and spores are very stubborn and difficult to kill with drugs. When the body's resistance is strong, it will be in a dormant state and exist in the vaginal mucosa. This is the characteristic of conditional pathogens and the fundamental reason why candidal vaginitis is difficult to cure.

Symptoms of vaginal candidiasis

The most common symptoms are vulvar itching and increased vaginal discharge. The typical case is white tofu-like leucorrhea. Vulvar itching often spreads gradually from the inner side of the labia minora to the vulva. It is extremely itchy and patients often find it unbearable. It is often accompanied by vulvar burning sensation, pain, and pain during sexual intercourse.

What to do if you have recurring candidal vaginitis

1. Prescription: 30g of Dictamni, 30g of Phellodendron, 30g of Sophora flavescens, 30g of Cnidium monnieri, 3g of Borneol

Method: Wrap the medicine in white cloth, decoct and extract 2000 ml of juice, steam the vulva while it is still hot, wait until the liquid cools down and then sit in bath for 20 minutes, 1 to 2 times a day. Take out the medicine bag and dry it before fumigation. It can be used again. One course of treatment is 7 days.

2: Prescription: 12 grams of cloves, 30 grams of patchouli, 15 grams of coptis, 30 grams of rhubarb, 20 grams of gentian, 15 grams of alum, 15 grams of mint, and 1 gram of borneol. This prescription clears away heat and dampness, kills insects and relieves itching, and has a strong inhibitory and killing effect on Candida albicans and other superficial skin fungi as well as gonorrhea. Usage: 1 dose per day, decoct in water and use for external washing and soaking of vulva 1 to 2 times, 30 minutes each time.

3: Fungal vaginitis or candidal vaginitis, also known as vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC), is a common and frequent vulvovaginal inflammatory disease caused by Candida albicans. Candida is a fungus and must be treated with antifungal drugs. Common drugs for the treatment of candidal vaginitis include azoles (itraconazole), acrylamines (terbinafine hydrochloride, butenafine), etc. Be sure to take the medicine for another week after the symptoms disappear during treatment to avoid recurrence of the disease.

In life, when you suffer from vaginitis, you must pay attention to it. In addition to finding out the cause and actively treating it, you also need to pay attention to hygiene issues in daily life to avoid worsening of the disease and affecting your health.
