Is it normal to have no obvious fetal movement at 21 weeks?

Women can clearly feel fetal movement when they are four months pregnant. Some women feel fetal movement a little earlier, and some a little later, but under normal circumstances, it is around 18 or 19 weeks. If you still don’t feel fetal movement after more than 20 weeks, you must go to the hospital for a check-up to see if the fetus is growing normally and healthily in the uterus. So is it normal if there is no obvious fetal movement after 21 weeks?

Normally, you should be able to feel fetal movement at 18 weeks of pregnancy. Sometimes, it may not be so obvious when you are pregnant with your first child!

Down syndrome screening should be done between 16 and 20 weeks. If the B-ultrasound shows that the baby is developing normally, it should be fine if there is no obvious fetal movement. You can eat less black jelly during pregnancy.

Pregnant women who are pregnant for the first time may feel fetal movement for the first time around 18 to 20 weeks. At the beginning, the fetal movement is intermittent, like a butterfly flapping its wings. Gradually, the fetal movements became stronger and more regular.

Under normal circumstances, the fetus moves at least 3 to 5 times in 1 hour, and the number of obvious fetal movements in 12 hours is more than 30 to 40 times. Some fetuses can move about 100 times in 12 hours. As long as the fetal movements are regular, rhythmic, and do not vary much, it proves that the fetal development is normal. The number of fetal movements is not constant. During the 28th to 38th week of pregnancy, the fetal movement is active, and then it weakens slightly until delivery. The pregnant woman's movement, posture, emotions, loud noises, strong light, and touching the abdomen can all cause changes in fetal movement.

If you are 18 weeks pregnant and the fetal movement is not obvious, it is normal. You can wait a week or two to see.

Generally, fetal movement will become obvious around 5 months of pregnancy. You can eat black jelly and eat a balanced diet, which will also help the development of the fetus.

It's normal. The feeling of fetal movement depends on the individual. Especially in the early stages of pregnancy, the fetal movement is very weak and generally cannot be felt. Only when the fetus is bigger and stronger can you clearly feel the fetal movement.
