Breast tenderness after frozen embryo transfer

Breast tenderness after frozen embryo transfer

Frozen embryo transfer is a relatively new way of conception nowadays, and it is also a method of conception chosen by many people who cannot get pregnant through normal means. Of course, some people experience breast pain after frozen embryo transplantation. This may be due to pregnancy or some other reason. Below, we will introduce to you the common causes of breast pain!

1. Premenstrual breast pain

More than half of women experience breast pain before menstruation. In mild cases, the breasts become swollen, hard, and tender; in severe cases, the breasts will become swollen and painful when subjected to slight vibrations or collisions, and the original granular or nodular feeling will become more obvious. This is caused by increased estrogen levels in the body before menstruation, breast hyperplasia, and breast tissue edema. After menstruation, estrogen levels drop, physiological changes disappear, and breast pain will be relieved.

2. Breast pain during pregnancy

For some women, around 40 days after pregnancy, the placenta and chorion secrete large amounts of estrogen and progesterone, which can cause breast hyperplasia and breast enlargement, leading to breast pain and discomfort. In severe cases, the pain may last throughout the entire pregnancy.

3. Hyperplasia of the breast

Breast hyperplasia is a non-inflammatory, non-tumor proliferation of intraglandular tissue, which manifests as breast lumps and breast pain. The pain and distension vary in severity and are often cyclical, becoming noticeable before menstruation or between two menstrual periods and subsiding after menstruation.

4. Breast fibroadenoma

Breast fibroadenoma is a benign tumor that often occurs in middle-aged and young women. Its main manifestation is breast lumps, or local swelling and pain before or at the beginning of menstruation. Breasts are a relatively fragile part of the female body. Protecting their health means keeping yourself away from illness. Therefore, if you experience breast pain, do not panic or be careless. Pay full attention to changes in your breasts and seek medical examination in a timely manner.

5. Breast pain after sex

An unharmonious sexual life can also cause breast pain or aggravate existing pain, which is related to the physiological changes of the breasts during sexual life. For women with low libido or disharmonious sex life, the congestion and swelling in their breasts will not subside easily or will subside incompletely because they cannot achieve sexual satisfaction. Continuous congestion will cause breast swelling and pain.
