Excessive vaginal discharge after IUD insertion

Excessive vaginal discharge after IUD insertion

The term IUD must be familiar to married women. It is a very common contraceptive method for women. This method is much better than other methods such as taking birth control pills or wearing condoms. It not only has a good contraceptive effect, but most importantly, it has few side effects on women. However, many people will have adverse problems after having an IUD inserted. Excessive leucorrhea is a very common problem. So what is the reason for excessive leucorrhea after having an IUD inserted?

Generally speaking, after using it, it is easy to cause excessive vaginal discharge, excessive endocrine secretions, and easy to get infected with inflammation, so you must pay more attention to personal hygiene. However, the increase in vaginal discharge is also closely related to one's own nervousness, stress and lack of sleep. When there is a lot of vaginal discharge, it is best to buy some cleaning fluid to wash it to avoid infection and inflammation. Pay more attention to observation if irregular menstruation occurs. Menstrual periods are too long. Maybe you are not used to the contraceptive ring you are using now. A little allergic. You can try another contraceptive ring. The shapes of IUDs include T-shaped rings, round rings, and V-shaped rings. Generally, round rings are more common.

There are two main common side effects after IUD insertion, the first of which is bleeding. After the IUD is inserted, some women will experience increased menstruation, some will have prolonged menstruation and spotting, and some will have leucorrhea mixed with blood and a large amount. This is generally caused by the IUD stimulating the endometrium, causing tissue chemical changes and producing local coagulation disorders. Menstrual abnormalities are also related to the material of the IUD. Plastic and copper-containing IUDs have a higher incidence of bleeding, while metal rings have a lower incidence, and those containing progesterone have the lowest. The second most common side effect is lower limb or back pain

If the amount of vaginal discharge increases significantly, has a fishy odor, and is accompanied by pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region, it is possible that gynecological inflammation has occurred. It is recommended to go to a regular hospital and take a sample of secretions for testing. In such cases, routine examination of leucorrhea should be performed to identify the specific pathogens and to treat the disease with symptomatic medication. If it is a bacterial infection, vaginal administration of ornidazole suppositories may suffice. If it is a fungal infection, treatment with Daktarin suppositories is required, and the vulva should be cleaned with Fuyanjie.

Leucorrhea is generally a normal physiological secretion of women, usually milky white in color. Different levels of sex hormones in the body may cause different properties and quantity changes in different menstrual cycles. Generally, symptoms of increased leucorrhea may occur during ovulation and when menstruation is about to begin. In addition, catching a cold or suffering from gynecological inflammatory diseases can also lead to symptoms of increased leucorrhea. Aseptic inflammation caused by wearing a ring can also usually lead to the possibility of increased leucorrhea. It is recommended to combine routine leucorrhea examination and abdominal ultrasound examination to check for abnormalities so as to provide symptomatic treatment.
