Bleeding at 4 months of pregnancy

Bleeding at 4 months of pregnancy

If bleeding occurs during the fourth month of pregnancy, it is mostly caused by not taking good care of the fetus during the unstable period, or because the uterine wall is too weak, resulting in frequent habitual miscarriages. If it is the latter reason, the treatment will become very troublesome and may require long-term conditioning to improve. You must be extra cautious in the use of medications and don't make yourself too hard.

The first three months of pregnancy are an unstable period, and the placenta will not function fully until about three months. Therefore, the placental function and ovarian function in the early stage of pregnancy are not yet complete, and the secretion of progesterone is insufficient. Progesterone is the so-called tocolytic hormone. In the case of insufficient tocolytic hormone, the first three months of pregnancy are in an unstable period. In addition, the first three months is an important period for the development of the fetal neural brain pipeline. Expectant mothers must also pay special attention to avoid hindering the development of the fetus's central nervous system. The following four points are the general principles that need to be paid attention to in the early stages of pregnancy:

1. Pay attention to fatigue

It is generally hoped that expectant mothers do not engage in too much activity in the first three months of pregnancy, as it may cause threatened miscarriage. If vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, etc. occur, these are warning signs of threatened miscarriage and you need to seek medical attention as soon as possible. In addition, this situation may be caused by being too tired or doing too much activity, and the expectant mother also needs to rest in bed more.

2. Use of drugs

The first three months of pregnancy are the critical period for the development of the fetus's central nervous system. Therefore, you should be particularly careful when using medications and inform your doctor that you are pregnant when seeing a doctor.

3. Avoid radiation

During the first three months of pregnancy, activities should be limited to the minimum possible effect on the fetal nervous system development. Therefore, if X-rays are necessary, doctors should be asked to prescribe the lowest dose.

When irradiating, remember to cover your stomach with a protective shield.

4. Balanced Diet

During pregnancy, you need to consume a balanced diet of the six major food groups. If the expectant mother has anemia, she can take iron supplements after diagnosis by a doctor. In the first three months of pregnancy, morning sickness is severe due to hormonal changes, and vitamin B6 can be taken to alleviate the symptoms.

Life rules: A peaceful daily life is the best. Don’t be too lazy (such as sleeping too much), nor be too hard-working (such as lifting heavy objects or climbing high places or taking dangerous steps). If you relax, your Qi will stagnate, leading to difficult labor; if you work too hard, your Qi will weaken, leading to fetal injury and miscarriage. Therefore, pregnant women must develop good living habits and have a regular schedule. It is best to ensure 8 hours of sleep a day and exercise appropriately.

In this way, you can have sufficient physical strength and energy to deal with various situations during pregnancy. In addition, pregnant women should wear loose clothes, belts should not be too tight, and they should usually wear flat shoes. You should develop the habit of regular bowel movements and eat more fiber-rich foods to keep your bowel movements smooth. Avoid using laxatives when you have constipation.
