Is bleeding in early pregnancy a boy?

Bleeding in early pregnancy needs to be taken seriously. There are many reasons for bleeding in early pregnancy, but bleeding in early pregnancy may be a precursor to threatened abortion. There are many methods circulating in the market to determine the gender of the fetus. In some places, it is rumored that if a woman bleeds in the early stages of pregnancy, she may be pregnant with a boy. In fact, this has no scientific basis. It is best to go to the hospital for examination in time for bleeding in early pregnancy and it must be taken seriously.

Does bleeding in early pregnancy mean it's a boy?

Whether or not there is bleeding in early pregnancy has nothing to do with the gender of the fetus. Bleeding in early pregnancy may be a normal phenomenon because the fetus grows in the uterus, causing some damage to the uterine wall, which may cause a small amount of bleeding. However, the possibility of threatened abortion and ectopic pregnancy must be taken into consideration. That is, when such symptoms occur, B-ultrasound, progesterone, and blood HCG quantification should be checked in time.

Causes of bleeding in early pregnancy

1. Implantation bleeding

After the sperm and egg combine in the fallopian tube, the fertilized egg will gradually move toward the uterine cavity and continue to undergo cell division to form a blastocyst. The blastocyst will enter the endometrium 6 to 8 days after fertilization, a process called implantation.

Most mothers do not have any particularly obvious reaction during the implantation period, but a few women will bleed, which is brown or red in color, with a small amount of blood, and the bleeding time is much shorter than menstruation. If you bleed 7 to 10 days before ovulation, it may be caused by implantation. If the bleeding is heavy, you can go to the hospital for examination.

2. Subchorionic hematoma

After the blastocyst implants in the endometrium, it forms the chorion on the surface, which constitutes the fetal part of the placenta. When the chorion and uterine wall separate slightly, a blood clot will form on the outside, causing bleeding. Subchorionic hematoma is a common bleeding condition in early pregnancy. The amount of bleeding is irregular and the color is dark.

3. Ectopic pregnancy

Normally, the fertilized egg will migrate from the fallopian tube to the uterine cavity and implant. But for various reasons, the fertilized egg implants outside the uterine cavity, such as in the fallopian tube, ovary or pelvic cavity. This condition is called ectopic pregnancy and is a very dangerous condition that can also cause bleeding.

Bleeding in early pregnancy is not a trivial matter

The most common abnormality in early pregnancy is vaginal bleeding, which is heavy, contains blood clots, and is accompanied by bouts of abdominal pain. The main causes of bleeding in early pregnancy are: miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole, etc.

There are many reasons for miscarriage, the main ones are: genetic defects that prevent the embryo from developing normally; excessive exposure to harmful chemicals (such as arsenic, benzene, formaldehyde, ethylene oxide, etc.) and physical factors (such as radiation, noise and high temperature, etc.) causing miscarriage; the mother suffers from serious systemic diseases, reproductive organ malformations or tumors, endocrine disorders, etc. can also lead to miscarriage.

Many women have experienced bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy. As they are usually in poor health and are prone to illness, their physical condition will become worse and worse after pregnancy, which can easily cause bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy. This phenomenon cannot be used to infer whether the baby is a boy or a girl. Instead, it means that there is a problem with the woman's body. Miscarriage is also possible. Timely examination should be done to protect the fetus.
