Breast nipple pain

Breast nipple pain

Breasts are a very beautiful part of a woman's body structure. They play a huge role, especially after having a baby. However, breasts are prone to problems. For example, some people may feel that their nipples are swollen. So, what is the cause of breast nipple swelling and pain? What is the reason for swelling and pain in the breasts and nipples? Let's learn about it together below.

Causes of nipple pain: 1. Nipple pain is common in women during puberty.

Girls first experience breast pain between the ages of 9 and 13, when their breasts begin to grow and develop, and they may feel mild swelling and pain. After the first menstruation, as the breasts grow and develop, the swelling and pain will subside on their own. Under normal circumstances, female breast pain is a normal physiological change, or a temporary manifestation during pregnancy or childbirth. If you experience prolonged swelling and pain that does not seem to be relieved, or even becomes more severe, or if you feel a bumpy, unclear edge, or poorly mobile lump in your breast when you touch it, you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible.

The second reason for nipple pain is that premenstrual breast pain is an early and important signal of gynecological diseases.

Generally speaking, female breasts are part of the urinary system and are greatly affected by estrogen and progesterone. If the body's endocrine system or ovaries are disrupted at a certain stage, it will affect the menstrual cycle and breast tissue, leading to a series of diseases. The most common and relatively mild symptom is premenstrual breast swelling. If necessary care or treatment is not given, a lot of discomfort will occur, such as: premenstrual headache, irritability, insomnia, and even premenstrual body pain, mild edema and so on. If things go on like this, breast disease will occur, the most common of which is breast hyperplasia. The menstrual period may also be unbalanced, resulting in menstrual disorders or amenorrhea, which will lead to infertility.

The third reason for nipple swelling and pain is that breast pain in the early menstrual period is one of the symptoms of early menstrual tension syndrome.

This patient experiences swelling and pain in the breasts or nipples 7 to 14 days before menstruation, to the point that she cannot touch her clothes, and there seems to be a lump when pressed. The pain disappears after menstruation, or is accompanied by distension and pain in the chest and flanks, lower abdominal pain, irritability, or menstrual disorders. The cause of nipple pain is not clear at all. It may be related to endocrine factors, psychological factors, liver disease and water and salt retention in the body, or abnormal release of endorphins, which may cause dysfunction of the regulatory nerves of the brain-pituitary-ovary-uterus axis or lack of vitamin B2 in the body, all of which can cause nipple pain.
