What to do with the child after abortion?

Some women, after an unexpected pregnancy, usually choose to terminate the pregnancy by abortion because they have no plans to have children for the time being. Some women, after becoming pregnant, cannot keep the child for various other reasons, and give birth to the baby through induced abortion. However, influenced by traditional concepts, most people tend to choose to abandon the aborted babies or hand them over to the hospital for disposal, fearing that it would be unlucky to handle it themselves.

How to deal with the child after abortion?

1. Many regular hospitals will dispose of aborted or induced fetuses as medical waste. They will be put into a bag and treated directly as medical waste. Some hospitals also cremate aborted fetuses as specimens.

2. Some informal hospitals or regional hospitals will directly bury the aborted fetuses or throw them into ditches. Some people even revealed that doctors in some places will use the fetuses directly as fertilizers.

In fact, Chinese law stipulates that fetuses and dead babies can only be treated as medical waste with the consent of their families, but sometimes hospitals say that they will not allow family members to take the fetus away.

In fact, there are many ways to deal with this kind of situation, but no matter which one it is, it is very cruel. I just hope that these young couples, if you are not ready to welcome the arrival of a new life, please don't do these things that hurt the world. After all, this is also a life!

What are the post-abortion care methods?

1. General care

1) Patients with threatened abortion should stay in bed and have daily necessities placed within their reach for easy access.

2) Eat a balanced diet, improve nutrition and boost immunity. Give easily digestible food and keep bowel movements smooth.

2. Psychological care

Comfort patients and their families, explain treatment and care-related measures, and relieve unnecessary tension of patients and their families. For patients who have lost their fetus, provide more psychological support to help them accept the fact.

(III) Nursing for those whose pregnancy cannot continue

1) Closely monitor the patient's vital signs and complexion; pay attention to the amount of vaginal bleeding at all times and detect signs of shock in a timely manner.

2) Assist the doctor in preparing for the curettage and dilation operation, closely observe the patient's vital signs during the operation, establish intravenous access, and cooperate well during the operation.

3) Closely observe the amount of vaginal bleeding and uterine contraction after the operation. If any abnormality is found, report it to the doctor immediately. Following the doctor's orders, oxytocin was injected intramuscularly to promote uterine contraction and reduce bleeding, and tissue was scraped out for pathological examination.

(IV) Symptom care

1) All examinations and surgeries should be performed strictly under aseptic conditions.

2) Closely monitor the patient's body temperature, blood routine, vaginal bleeding and secretions (nature, color, odor, etc.). Report any signs of infection to your doctor immediately.

3) Keep the vulva clean and scrub it twice a day.

4) Patients with concurrent infection should lie in a semi-recumbent position, pay attention to bedside isolation, and use antibiotics as prescribed by the doctor.
