How to delay your period by a few days

If women want to delay their menstruation, they can consider taking estrogen-progesterone combined with herbal preparations, such as Yasmin or Marvelon, on the first day of their menstruation last month, and continue taking them until 3 to 7 days before their menstruation. After stopping the medication, their menstruation can be delayed for a few days. Or you can start taking estrogen preparations, such as progesterone capsules or dydrogesterone tablets, on the 14th day of the menstrual period, and then stop taking it three days before the menstrual period. After stopping the medicine, the menstrual period will be declared to have started three to seven days later.

Menstruation is a physiological cycle, and the onset of menstruation is related to the changes in estrogen levels in the body. Under normal circumstances, it is not recommended to artificially adjust the menstrual period. However, some patients, such as some girls who need to take the college entrance examination this year, or are going to a wedding, or for some other reasons, are forced to delay their menstruation. At this time, they can consider using medication to achieve the purpose of delaying menstruation.

At present, the most common method is to take progesterone orally, and take progesterone copper under the guidance of a doctor, which can achieve the purpose of delaying menstruation. Generally, menstruation will come 3-5 days after stopping the medication. The amount of menstruation at this time may be slightly more than the normal amount. As long as there is no discomfort, it is not a problem. However, if your period has not come after 3-5 days of stopping the medication, you may need to consider getting a test to rule out pregnancy.

Because the menstrual period is mainly regulated by the body's estrogen and oestrogen, if you want to delay the menstrual period, you can use hormonal drugs to affect the physiological cycle, the most common of which is estrogen. However, this needs to be started five to ten days before the menstrual period. If the starting time is too short before the menstrual period, it may be difficult to achieve the effect of delaying menstruation. In addition, this type of medicine generally does not have serious side effects. Some women may experience gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea and vomiting after taking it. Taking it after a meal can alleviate these symptoms.
