What happens if your period comes early?

Generally speaking, healthy menstruation is very regular. It is normal to have a period one day early or late occasionally. However, if the period often comes early, you should pay attention to it. It may be related to some psychological emotions or diet. Of course, you should be more vigilant about some disease factors, such as gynecological diseases, some cranial and brain diseases, or endocrine dysfunction, etc.

What happens if your period comes early?

The period from the first day of menstruation to the first day of the next menstruation is called a cycle. The standard cycle is 28-30 days, and it is normal if it is advanced or delayed by no more than 1 week. So, what is the reason for early menstruation? Early menstruation in women is closely related to factors such as disease, endocrine environment, drugs, diet, and emotions. The reasons that lead to early menstruation in women include:

1. Disease factors. If a woman suffers from certain diseases, including local inflammation of the reproductive organs, tumors, intracranial diseases, endocrine dysfunction, or takes medication for a long time, it is easy to cause irregular menstruation.

2. Endocrine dysfunction. The main reason is that the function of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis is unstable or defective, which can easily cause unstable menstruation in women.

3. Influence of drugs. Some drugs can cause endocrine disorders in women after taking them, such as some contraceptives, chemotherapy drugs, and drugs for treating mental illness. Once you stop taking these medicines, your periods will generally return to normal.

4. The impact of the IUD. Some women will experience early menstruation after having an IUD inserted. There is no need to worry too much about this, as menstruation will gradually return to normal.

5. Diet. If women consume excessive amounts of spicy food and supplements for a long time, or if they are malnourished due to dieting, it can easily cause changes in the endocrine environment and lead to irregular menstruation.

6. Changes in living environment. Changes in the external environment, such as changes in living environment, job transfers, etc., can cause menstrual cycle disorders in some women.

7. Emotions. Women's mood swings, such as extreme joy or sorrow, depression, and high pressure from life and work will affect their endocrine system and cause early menstruation.
