Seven months pregnant, pain in the lower part when walking

When you are seven months pregnant, you should pay special attention to changes in your body, because this period of time means that you are about to enter the delivery period. If you don't pay attention at this time, it will cause a lot of trouble. Many pregnant women will feel pain below when they walk at this time. This is caused by compression, so you should pay more attention to bed rest.

In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, some expectant mothers will feel inexplicable pain in the pubic bone, a pulling sensation, and the pain will be more obvious when climbing stairs. The pubic space of expectant mothers is wider than when they were not pregnant. This is a physiological need for the growing fetus. After the pregnant woman gives birth, the widened gap between the pubic bones will gradually return to its original position. The pain caused by symphysis pubis separation in pregnant women is generally tolerable for most people. If the pubic bone is dislocated significantly, severe separation may cause ligament sprain and edema, making it difficult to walk and the expectant mother will have to stay in bed to rest.

To prevent or relieve symphysis pubis pain, expectant mothers need to:

⊙ Pay attention to pregnancy check-ups and regularly understand the specific situation of pubic separation;

⊙ Strengthen physical exercise, regularly perform appropriate thigh stretching exercises, and enhance the tension and tolerance of muscles and ligaments;

⊙Pay attention to proper rest.

⊙When the pubic separation is large in late pregnancy, inappropriate activities should be appropriately reduced.

Vulvar pain

Some expectant mothers may feel swelling in the vulva during the middle and late stages of pregnancy, along with local redness of the skin and severe pain in the vulva when walking. This phenomenon is clinically known as "vulvar varicose veins". The main ways to prevent varicose veins of the vulva are to: avoid standing for long periods of time in late pregnancy; avoid wearing tight pants and shoes; do not get close to heat sources or bathe in overheated water.

If varicose veins of the vulva have already occurred, expectant mothers can apply local cold compresses or take a sitz bath in cold water to shrink the varicose veins in the vulva. Applying zinc oxide ointment topically and sprinkling some talcum powder can also help varicose veins contract.

Sciatica

As the fetus continues to grow, the weight of the fetus will add pressure to the expectant mother's back and compress the sciatic nerve, causing the expectant mother to have strong tingling pain below the waist and in the legs.

The main methods to improve sciatica are:

⊙ Pay attention to choosing a comfortable body position and sleeping posture in daily life to alleviate this pain;

⊙ Sleep on your left side and place a pillow between your knees to increase blood flow to the uterus;

⊙ Do not stand or sit in the same posture for more than half an hour during the day;

⊙ Try not to lift heavy objects above your head;

⊙ Swimming can help relieve pressure on the sciatic nerve.
