Pale lips during early pregnancy

Pale lips during early pregnancy

In the early stages of pregnancy, if a woman's lips turn pale, it is likely that she has anemia caused by pregnancy. At this time, you must supplement your nutrition in time. For iron-deficiency anemia, you should eat more iron-containing foods. Only in this way can you ensure the healthy growth of the fetus in the body. Because anemia itself is already very dangerous, pregnancy will only increase the burden on the body. So what is the reason for pale lips in the early stages of pregnancy?

Why do pregnant women have pale lips?

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that if a person's lips are pale, it means that there is some kind of disease in the body. When your lips turn pale, the first thing that comes to mind is anemia. Anemia, as the name suggests, means insufficient blood in the body. Insufficient blood will cause the complexion to be pale and the lips to look pale. Anemia is also one of the most common causes of pale lips. Of course, if the pale lips are caused by anemia, then you just need to pay more attention to eating foods that help to replenish blood and pay more attention to supplementing iron.

The liver is an important organ for the normal functioning of the human body and for detoxification. When a person's liver function declines or cannot function normally due to other factors, pale lips may occur. So clinically speaking, if your lips are pale and you don't have anemia, diabetes, or renal dysfunction, then you should have your liver function tested.

What are the symptoms of early pregnancy

Due to differences in hormones and physical constitution, everyone's early pregnancy symptoms are different. Pregnant women may experience symptoms such as frequent urination, breast discomfort, mild vaginal bleeding, and may also experience physical fatigue, nausea and vomiting. These symptoms usually appear 6 weeks after menstruation and generally last until the 3rd month of pregnancy.

1. Frequent urination

Many pregnant women experience frequent urination in the early stages of pregnancy. During the first three months of pregnancy, the uterus gradually grows in the pelvic cavity, pressing on the bladder, causing the expectant mother to constantly feel the urge to urinate. In the middle of pregnancy, the uterus will move up to the abdominal cavity, and the phenomenon of frequent urination will improve. But towards the end of pregnancy, frequent urination will reappear.

2. Breast discomfort. Starting from a few weeks after pregnancy, pregnant women will feel breast swelling and even some pain. Occasionally, squeezing the nipples will produce sticky yellowish colostrum. This is because in the early stages of pregnancy, due to pregnancy stimulation, the pregnant woman's body will produce a lot of estrogen and progesterone, causing the glands in the breasts to begin to grow.

3. Mild vaginal bleeding

The fertilized egg will implant in the uterus within 6-12 days after conception, which may cause slight vaginal bleeding in pregnant women. This is a normal physiological reaction when the fertilized egg implants and is harmless to the human body.
