Electrocoagulation of cervix

Electrocoagulation of cervix

Nowadays, more and more patients have uterine cavity diseases, and most of them are uterine fibroids, uterine cysts or uterine erosions, which will cause great impact on the cervical soft tissue and endometrium. In severe cases, they will spread to the fallopian tubes and ovaries, causing unnecessary damage. This has a great impact on many women who are still in the childbearing period. Let us take a look at the cervical electrocoagulation surgery and the treatment of cervical diseases.

(1) Physical therapy: It is the most effective and shortest treatment method for cervicitis. Generally, only one treatment is needed to cure the disease. The specific therapies include electric ironing, freezing, laser, etc., each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages: electric ironing treatment should be performed within 3 to 7 days after the end of menstruation, and it is forbidden to use it in acute inflammation. The wound should be coated with 1% gentian violet after electric ironing; the advantage of freezing therapy is that the method is simple, painless, and there is little bleeding and cervical stenosis after surgery, but there is more vaginal discharge within 2 to 3 weeks after surgery; the disadvantage of laser treatment is that repeated burning is required to destroy deeper lesions.

(2) Drug and surgical treatment: Western medicine corrosion treatment is rarely used nowadays. Traditional Chinese medicine is widely used in the treatment of patients with smaller erosions and moister and shallower inflammation, and its efficacy is also more certain. The recognized cervical powder is composed of honeysuckle, gallnut, licorice, and alum. After each menstruation, sprinkle the powder on a cotton ball with string, then insert it into the cervix and remove it after 1 day. Do it twice a week for 2 weeks as a course of treatment.

Since a large amount of vaginal yellow fluid appears after physical therapy, patients should keep the vulva clean and avoid sexual intercourse, bathing in a tub, and vaginal douching during the period when the wound has not yet completely healed, that is, within 1 to 2 months. In addition, monthly check-ups are required to observe wound healing and whether there is cervical stenosis. Chronic cervicitis often occurs after childbirth, miscarriage or surgical injury to the cervix, so women should pay attention to personal hygiene at this time to prevent the occurrence of the disease.

Five causes of cervical disease

1. Too frequent gynecological surgeries.

Repeated childbirth, abortions, gynecological surgeries, etc. can damage the cervix and reduce resistance, allowing bacteria to enter the body and easily lead to infection and inflammation.

2. Drug abuse.

Most women are in the habit of taking antibiotics and using care solutions for a long time. This not only interferes with the normal environment of the vaginal flora, but also interferes with the endocrine function, which can easily lead to infection and inflammation.

3. Irritation caused by external items.

For example, using a relatively high concentration of care solution to clean the vagina, or allowing corrosive drugs to enter the vagina, will damage the vaginal and cervical tissues, and may cause vaginitis and cervicitis.

4. The causes of cervical diseases include mechanical stimulation or injury.

Secondary infection of cervical laceration after miscarriage or delivery is a common cause of cervical disease. Frequent sexual intercourse will greatly increase the chance of cervical infection.

5. Foreign objects in the vagina.

When foreign objects such as cotton balls and gauze are left in the vagina for a long time, they can easily induce infection and cause acute cervicitis.
