What does biochemical abortion mean?

If pregnant women have some diseases or do not pay attention to their living habits, they can cause miscarriage. Some women also have biochemical miscarriage. Many people do not know enough about this kind of miscarriage. In fact, the cause of this phenomenon is the same as that of natural miscarriage. It is all caused by abnormalities in the embryo chromosomes or problems with the fertilized egg, etc. Excessive mental tension in women can also induce biochemical miscarriage. So what does biochemical miscarriage mean?

First, what does biochemical abortion mean? Biochemical pregnancy means there is no clinical pregnancy. This symptom is now called "subclinical abortion" in medicine. It means that the sperm and egg combine but do not successfully return to the uterus to implant, resulting in abortion along with menstruation. The sperm and egg combine to form a fertilized egg. About the seventh day after fertilization, the fertilized egg differentiates into a trophoblast (the future placenta), implants into the endometrium, and gradually secretes hCG. Biochemical pregnancy is the phenomenon that the fertilized egg does not return to the uterus and implant. Biochemical pregnancy generally does not affect the next pregnancy.

Second, the cause of biochemical pregnancy: It is generally believed that the causes of biochemical pregnancy are the same as those of spontaneous abortion. Embryo chromosomal abnormalities and defects in the fertilized egg may be the main causes of developmental stagnation. Ovarian corpus luteum insufficiency, insufficient progesterone secretion, and endometrial abnormalities affect the implantation of the fertilized egg. Uterine factors: uterine hypoplasia, submucous uterine fibroids, endometrial polyps, intrauterine adhesions, endometrial tuberculosis, etc. affect the implantation of the fertilized egg. Excessive mental stress, especially severe anxiety due to failure to conceive, and excessive psychological pressure. In a sense, biochemical pregnancy is a natural selection of survival of the fittest. Women of childbearing age should not panic if they encounter such a situation, as biochemical pregnancy generally does not affect the next pregnancy. Unless this happens multiple times, it is necessary to go to the hospital for further examination.

Biochemical pregnancy does not require uterine curettage, but regular monitoring of blood hCG is required to observe its growth, which can determine whether the gestational sac is alive or has been expelled from the body. Blood hCG is produced by the fertilized egg, and the channel through which the sperm and egg combine is the fallopian tube. To a certain extent, it can be said that biochemical pregnancy means that the fallopian tube is unobstructed. After making sure that blood hCG has dropped to normal levels, you can plan your next pregnancy. If the B-ultrasound examination shows that your body is in good condition, you can wait a month or three months to have a baby. Be careful not to have sex immediately after the biochemical pregnancy ends, so that the uterus can rest. In terms of diet, eating more fish, meat, eggs, soy products and other foods, and eating more foods rich in protein and vitamins can speed up the body's recovery.
