Grading and classification of cervical erosion_ Grading of cervical erosion

Cervical erosion is a very common gynecological disease. Many women only have a superficial understanding of cervical erosion and are not clear about the degree and classification of cervical erosion - the degree classification of cervical erosion. Medically, cervical erosion is divided into three degrees: mild, moderate and severe. This division is based on the area of erosion. Let's learn more about cervical erosion.

1. Classification of cervical erosion degree

The most commonly used method for grading cervical erosion is based on the area of erosion, which can be divided into three types: mild, moderate, and severe.

When the erosion area is less than 1/3 of the entire cervical area, it is mild cervical erosion. When the erosion area is 1/3 to 2/3 of the cervical area, it is moderate cervical erosion. When the erosion area reaches more than 2/3 of the cervical area, it is severe cervical erosion.

During clinical examination, we should pay attention not only to the size of the erosion area, but also to the type of erosion, which is divided into simple, granular and papillary types.

2. Symptoms of cervical erosion

1. Pain: This symptom is mainly caused by the presence of inflammation, which will spread to the pelvic cavity along the uterine ligaments, causing lower abdominal pain in women. Some women will also suffer from back pain due to inflammation.

2. Frequent: The most obvious is leucorrhea. Normal leucorrhea should be transparent, but this symptom will increase the amount of leucorrhea, which is mostly light yellow or milky white in color and feels sticky and thick. Sometimes there will be blood in the leucorrhea.

3. Difficulty: Once the inflammation affects the bladder, patients will experience difficulty and pain in urinating. Some patients even report pain during defecation.

4. Itching: This symptom will cause an increase in leucorrhea, which will in turn affect the vaginal environment, causing vaginal inflammation, itching, and even pain.

5. Blood: During intimate acts, an unpleasant odor may be produced and bleeding may also occur.

3. Causes of cervical erosion

1. Frequent artificial abortions

Some young women do not take proper safety measures during pre-marital sexual intercourse, resulting in frequent abortions, which damages the cervix and makes it difficult for it to resist the invasion of bacteria, causing inflammation. Inflammation stimulates the secretion in women's body, and if the cervix is soaked in this secretion for a long time, it will form erosion. In addition, gynecological surgeries such as cervical dilation and curettage can also damage the cervix.

2. Unhealthy sex life

At present, young people generally accept premarital sex, but due to the lack of sexual knowledge, they will lead to unhealthy sex life. Young people have strong physical strength and find high-intensity sex life very stimulating. Having sex more than four times a week can easily cause the disease. This is because the male reproductive organ comes into contact with the female cervix multiple times for a long time, stimulating the cervix and putting a lot of pressure on it. In addition, if the male's genitals are not cleaned properly, more and more germs will be brought into the female's body, which will cause the disease over time. In addition, having too many sexual partners and starting sex too early are also reasons that cannot be underestimated.

3. Unhygienic sex life

For women who have not had sex, germs rarely have the opportunity to enter the female body due to the protection of the hymen, and the vaginal environment is cleaner. Women who have had sexual intercourse are relatively more susceptible to germs because they no longer have the protection of their hymen. Some men do not pay attention to the hygiene of their sexual life. During intimacy, bacteria will enter the female cervix through the male's reproductive organs and cause inflammation. In addition, women who already have this symptom will have the area of cervical erosion expanded, causing deeper erosion. Here, it is recommended that women, for their own health, urge men to do necessary cleaning before intimacy.
