40% of smartphone users have redeemed coupons on their phones; 29% search for coupons at least once a month; the most popular types of coupons are group buys (41%), food coupons, and printable coupons. The study also found that users are open to coupons and are willing to switch brands to save money. 82% of mobile coupon users said they would switch brands if they received a competitor's coupon while shopping; 76% of mobile coupon users said price influenced their purchases, 58% bought because of promotions, 51% looked for coupons when shopping, and 38% made purchases based on brand.
