The fetus keeps moving while sleeping at night

As the pregnancy progresses, more and more pregnant women will look forward to the first fetal movement of their baby, because the baby's fetal movement is a strong proof that the baby is in the mother's belly. It is a very joyful thing to stimulate the baby's fetal movement in the belly with the father, and the frequency of fetal movement of the baby is different in each time period. So why does the baby keep moving when sleeping at night?

Why does the fetus keep moving at night?

There are 4 reasons.

The first is that after the pregnant mother has dinner, her blood sugar rises. Well, the fetus has replenished its energy and is energetic to move around.

The second is that after the pregnant mother takes a bath, her mental state is lifted and the fetus also feels good, so she moves around.

The third is that pregnant mothers are busy at work during the day and do not have to work at night. The fetus can also feel the mother's relaxation, so it moves around and wants to interact with the mother.

Fourth, when the night is quiet, the pregnant mother can better feel the fetal movement, so she will feel that the fetus will feel pain more frequently.

Therefore, frequent fetal movements at night are normal most of the time, and pregnant mothers don’t need to worry too much.

Some notes about fetal movement.

First, normal fetal movements are 3 to 5 times an hour. If the fetal movement exceeds 5 to 8 times, you should be careful.

Second, the fetal movement will disappear only when the 24-hour fetal heart rate disappears, so mothers must monitor the fetal movement at all times.

Third, if you find that the fetus is moving too much, you should sleep on your left side, which is most conducive to oxygen supply to the fetus. If the fetal movement is so intense that it lasts for half an hour or even an hour without any relief, you should listen to the fetal heart rate and, if necessary, correct the fetal hypoxia through measures such as oxygen inhalation.

Generally speaking, there are two peaks of fetal movement in a day. One is from 7 to 9 in the morning, when the baby who has slept with the mother starts to move a little. The second is from 10 pm to 1 am when the surroundings are relatively quiet. There are fewer fetal movements at other times. The fetal movement pattern is generally no less than 5 to 7 times per hour, and about 40 times every 12 hours. Therefore, expectant mothers should also eat and rest properly!
