Pregnant woman's belly suddenly becomes hard

Pregnant woman's belly suddenly becomes hard

During the pregnancy, as the fetus grows, the pregnant woman's belly will become larger and larger. You may feel that the pregnant woman's belly is soft at first. After a period of time, the pregnant woman's belly may become hard, especially in the middle and late stages of pregnancy. This situation is very common. In fact, this is quite normal. So what should a pregnant woman do if her belly suddenly becomes hard?

At first, I felt that my belly was soft and felt very nice to the touch, but in the middle and late stages of pregnancy, I sometimes felt that my belly suddenly became hard, and it felt very textured when I poked it with my fingers. Especially new mothers, who have no experience, think that there is a problem and go to the hospital for examination.

In fact, this kind of hardening of the abdomen is very common. When the pregnancy is seven or eight months, uterine contractions begin. They are paroxysmal, which means that the pregnant woman's uterus contracts, which helps the mother give birth to the baby. During the contraction, the mother will feel her belly tighten and even have a slight pain.

What should I do if my stomach is hard and I have contractions?

1. Take a deep breath and relax yourself appropriately to relieve the pain caused by contractions.

2. Change or adjust your posture, get up and walk around appropriately, or gently massage your stomach.

3. Drink warm water to relieve the symptoms. Some uterine contractions are caused by dehydration in the body.

Uterine contractions can be divided into true contractions and false contractions. If it is a false contraction, the above steps are still effective. If it is a true contraction, the mother has to endure it, and the pain may even get worse.

You must pay attention to the number of your contractions at ordinary times. If any abnormality occurs, such as a sudden increase or decrease in frequency, remember to get checked in time to prevent your baby's health from being delayed.
