Do I need to do B-ultrasound for the second prenatal checkup?

Do I need to do B-ultrasound for the second prenatal checkup?

Every prenatal check-up requires a B-ultrasound check-up because the B-ultrasound images allow us to observe the development of the fetus very well. Generally, a B-ultrasound can be done after 3 months. The prenatal check-ups that need to be done after 12 weeks include routine blood tests, routine urine tests, and B-ultrasound, etc. These prenatal check-ups can effectively determine whether the fetus has some infectious diseases and whether the fetus has any malformations in its development.

Required

Early pregnancy registration within 12 weeks: blood routine, urine routine, gynecological examination, syphilis screening

16-18 weeks, first checkup: obstetric examination (weight, blood pressure, heart rate), blood type (AB0, RH), blood routine, urine routine, leucorrhea, liver function, two-to-one and a half, kidney function, electrocardiogram, gonococcal culture, cervical cancer smear, B-ultrasound (this set costs more than 1,000)

Second checkup at 20-24 weeks: obstetric examination, urine routine, B-ultrasound (B-ultrasound must be done at 24 weeks so that if there is any problem, abortion can be done in time), fetal heart Doppler auscultation

The third checkup between 24 and 30 weeks: obstetric examination, fetal Doppler auscultation, diabetes screening, urine routine, nutritional counseling

The fourth checkup at 30-34 weeks: obstetric examination, urine routine, blood routine, fetal heart Doppler auscultation

34-36 weeks Fifth checkup: obstetric examination, urine routine, fetal heart Doppler auscultation, B-ultrasound

37 weeks Sixth check-up: obstetric examination, urine routine, fetal heart Doppler auscultation

Seventh checkup at 38 weeks: obstetric examination, fetal Doppler auscultation, urine routine, fetal monitoring

Eighth checkup at 39 weeks: obstetric examination, urine routine, fetal heart Doppler auscultation, B-ultrasound

Ninth checkup at 40 weeks: obstetric examination, urine routine, fetal Doppler auscultation, fetal monitoring

Prenatal check-up items

Fetal heart rate: The normal heart rate of the fetus is between 120 beats/minute and 160 beats/minute. If the fetal heart rate remains between 120 and 160 for more than 10 minutes, it indicates that the fetal heart rate is abnormal. At present, the application of fetal heart monitors has become quite popular. When monitoring the fetal heart rate, if there is an abnormality in the fetal heart graph, it is often used to indicate fetal heart abnormality.

Weight: Because being too thin or too fat can have adverse effects on pregnant women, you should consciously keep your weight within the standard range before pregnancy. A simple formula for calculating weight is to subtract 100-150 from your height (cm) and multiply by 0.9 to get your standard weight (kg). Weight is not absolute. It can fluctuate by 5 kg based on the calculated weight. As long as it is within this range, it is normal.

Uterine height: By measuring uterine height and abdominal circumference, you can preliminarily determine the gestational age, indirectly understand the fetal growth and development, and estimate the fetal weight. Measuring uterine height and abdominal circumference during each prenatal check-up helps to dynamically observe fetal development and promptly detect pregnancy abnormalities such as intrauterine growth retardation, macrosomia, or polyhydramnios, which may be corrected through timely treatment.

Down syndrome screening: A method of extracting serum from pregnant women to test the concentrations of alpha-fetoprotein, chorionic gonadotropin and free estriol in the maternal serum, and then calculating the risk of giving birth to a fetus with congenital defects based on the pregnant woman's due date, weight, age and gestational age at the time of blood collection.
