How to check the quality of eggs?

The quality of eggs and sperm can directly affect the development of the embryo and the health of the child. This article will focus on testing the quality of eggs. Before couples want to have children, they should test whether their eggs and sperm are healthy.

Test method : Starting from the first day of a woman's menstruation, place the thermometer under the tongue for 5 minutes before getting up and moving around every morning and record the results. Continue testing until the next menstruation.

Test result analysis:

① In a month, women's physiological changes are roughly divided into before and after ovulation, which are scientifically called the "follicular phase" and the "luteal phase". Generally, the basal body temperature in the follicular phase is 36.5°C. If the basal body temperature rises by more than 0.5°C in the luteal phase and remains high for more than ten days, it means ovulation. If there is no later increase in body temperature curve in the monophasic type, it indicates no ovulation. The accuracy rate is 70%~80%.

② Normally ovulation occurs around the 14th day of menstruation. After ovulation, the body temperature rises by 0.3~0.5℃ and lasts for about 12 days. If the body temperature does not rise or rises slowly, lasts for a short time or rises less than 0.3℃, it means that ovulation has not occurred or the corpus luteum is not supplying enough energy.

③The high temperature period after the rise will last for 12-16 days. If the high temperature period is longer, it will indicate that the egg quality is good. If it continues for more than 20 days, you may be pregnant. If there is no pregnancy, the corpus luteum shrinks and stops secreting progesterone, and the body temperature will begin to drop until it returns to the baseline, which is the body temperature at the time of the last menstrual period.

Test Note:

①First, you need to buy a basal thermometer. The basal thermometer is different from a general thermometer. Its scale is denser, and 36.7 degrees Celsius (24 on the scale) is generally used as the boundary between high and low temperatures.

② Buy a basal body temperature chart (available in hospitals, for download online, or you can make one yourself using an EXCEL spreadsheet online), record the measured body temperature every day, and make it appear as a wavy line.

③ If you have a cold or fever, drank alcohol the night before, used an electric blanket, etc., your body temperature may be inaccurate. Use it with caution during the pregnancy preparation period, and also prevent colds.
