What happened to the fetus after two miscarriages?

Fetal arrest is the phenomenon that the embryo stops developing at a certain stage. It is the stage before spontaneous abortion. If the embryo is expelled from the body after arrest, it is called spontaneous abortion. During pregnancy, this situation may be the most undesirable thing to happen, but some women may even experience two fetal arrests. So, what happens if the fetus stops growing twice? Let’s take a look below.

There are many reasons that lead to fetal arrest. The most common ones are as follows:

1. Genetic factors: If there are chromosomal abnormalities or genetic gene defects, common abnormalities include sperm or egg chromosomes. 2. Insufficient hormone secretion makes it difficult to support embryonic development and causes death.

3. The malformation of the uterine cavity makes it impossible for the embryo to grow.

4. Viral infection during pregnancy, exposure to radioactive substances, toxic chemicals, taking drugs prohibited during pregnancy, high temperature, microwaves, noise, excessive stimulation, etc.

5. Maternal factors: such as poor physical constitution or illness, cervical incompetence, luteal insufficiency, endometriosis, immune factors, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, etc.

6. Male factors: such as large amount of bacterial growth in semen and high sperm deformity rate.

How to prevent fetal arrest?

1. Relax mentally. Women who are planning to have a baby should not worry too much about it, whether they or their friends have experienced fetal arrest. Tension and stress can lead to endocrine imbalance in the body, which is also detrimental to the healthy development of the embryo and fetus.

2. Pre-pregnancy preparation: female friends should have an appropriate preparation period, pay attention to a balanced diet, regular life, physical exercise, pre-pregnancy check-ups, etc.

3. Check at the right time. Generally, the embryo will have a fetal heartbeat at around 8 weeks, and fetal growth retardation may occur at 8-12 weeks. Therefore, it is recommended that pregnant women do an ultrasound at around 8 weeks to check the development of the fetus and placenta as early as possible. If the fetal heartbeat is present, you can generally rest assured.

4. Abortion treatment: When a pregnant mother is unfortunately diagnosed with fetal growth retardation, she should not panic. Abortion treatment usually needs to be performed under the guidance of a doctor.

5. Pregnancy after half a year: For women who have experienced fetal growth retardation, from the perspective of eugenics, it is recommended to wait at least half a year before getting pregnant again, because it takes at least two or three months for the ovarian function to recover, and at least half a year for the endometrium to recover.
