Characteristics of a malignant breast mass

Characteristics of a malignant breast mass

Most women will develop some breast diseases in their lives. Malignant breast tumors are one of them, and they are very serious. If they are not treated in time after they occur, they may cause more serious malignant tumors. This is what we often call breast cancer. Therefore, in order to avoid the occurrence of breast cancer, it is necessary to understand the disease characteristics of breast lumps. What are the characteristics of a malignant breast tumor?

Malignant breast tumors are mainly breast cancers arising from the mammary duct and lobular epithelium, accounting for more than 95% of breast malignant tumors; the second largest group is soft tissue sarcomas arising from the mammary mesenchymal tissue, accounting for less than 5%. Benign breast diseases are common diseases among women, including benign breast tumors such as fibroadenomas, proliferative breast diseases, inflammatory breast diseases, etc. Some of these benign breast diseases have a tendency to become cancerous and are called precancerous lesions of breast cancer, such as atypical hyperplasia of the breast duct and lobular epithelium, intraductal papilloma, etc.

Clinical manifestations

The most common symptom of breast cancer is a painless lump that is hard, has unclear boundaries, and gradually increases in size. When the tumor invades the skin, it may cause the skin to wrinkle and shrink; secondly, there may be nipple discharge, nipple erosion or nipple retraction, and enlarged lymph nodes may be felt in the armpits.

What foods should be avoided:

[1] Ginseng, longan and other tonic foods: Traditional Chinese medicine believes that most pregnant women have a deficiency of yin and blood. Eating ginseng can cause qi to be excessive and yin to be depleted, aggravating early pregnancy reactions, edema and high blood pressure. Longan is pungent and warm and helps boost yang. Pregnant women may suffer from bleeding or miscarriage after eating it, so it is not suitable for them to be eaten.

[2] Sweets: The metabolism of sugars and other foods in the human body consumes a large amount of calcium. Calcium deficiency during pregnancy will affect the development of the fetus’ teeth and bones. Eating too much chocolate is also not good, as it will make pregnant women feel full and affect their appetite. As a result, they will gain weight but lack essential nutrients.

[3] Foods containing additives: The additives and dietary taboos contained in canned foods are risk factors for malformation and miscarriage, so pregnant mothers should stay away from canned foods. Alum is added to fried dough sticks during the production process. It is an inorganic substance containing aluminum, which can invade the fetus through the placenta.
