Why is the mother hot and cold?

Why is the mother hot and cold?

During the confinement period, the mother's physical condition is very important, because she must be very weak after giving birth. Therefore, you must pay special attention to diet and rest. If the mother is breastfeeding her baby, she needs to supplement some nutrition. But you should be careful to eat some greasy food in moderation. Why does a woman who has just given birth feel hot and cold at the same time?

During the confinement period, mothers' bodies are very weak, so many mothers will experience sweating after delivery, which is a short-term sequelae of delivery. As the body slowly recovers, these adverse reactions will gradually disappear. The period after childbirth is the most sensitive to wind as it is very easy to contract postpartum diseases. So what should I do if I have a fever during the confinement period?

Feeling cold and fever during the confinement period may be caused by a cold or milk accumulation. If you have milk accumulation, you can find a professional lactation consultant to clear your milk ducts. If it is due to a cold, you can boil ginger water, drink it while it is hot, then cover yourself with a blanket and sleep. Sweating can help expel toxins from the body faster. And drink more nutritious soup to help you recover as soon as possible. Sexual intercourse is prohibited during the confinement period. Because the uterus has not fully recovered after giving birth, sexual intercourse will make it difficult for the uterus to recover and will be more likely to cause inflammatory infection.

Eat more vegetables during the confinement period. Vegetables can promote bowel movements and are very helpful in preventing postpartum constipation. During the confinement period and breastfeeding period, try not to eat spicy food as it will irritate the baby's stomach and intestines through breast milk.

While taking on the responsibility of caring for the baby, postpartum mothers also need to pay more attention to their personal care. Avoid touching cold water, overexerting, or getting emotionally excited, and make sure you are in a good mood. While ensuring the quality of milk, your body can recover as quickly as possible.

What should I pay attention to during confinement?

1. Life

1. Be sure to rest for one month or one and a half months. For two weeks after delivery, you must stay in bed except for eating and going to the bathroom. If you sit or walk around frequently, it may cause uterine prolapse.

2. Prepare two or three strips of white gauze with a width of about 30-40 cm and a length that can wrap around the abdomen 12 and a half times. After delivery, you should tie a belly band tightly to prevent your internal organs from sagging.

3. In the first two weeks, you can only use warm wine water for sponge bath.

4. Use boiled water until it is warm before washing your face or brushing your teeth.

6. You cannot hold children. Otherwise, the internal organs may prolapse. You can lie on your side when feeding.

7. Do not bathe children, otherwise it may cause back pain and numbness in hands and feet.

8. Do not blow the wind, because the pores all over the body are open after delivery, and blowing the wind can easily cause headaches and joint pains, etc. Even don't use a fan.

9. Do not climb stairs during the confinement period, and do not lift heavy objects within six months after delivery to avoid sagging of internal organs.

10. Don’t shed tears, otherwise your eyes will age prematurely and may develop into glaucoma or cataracts.

2. Diet

1. Eat small and frequent meals.

2. Don’t eat salt, raw or cold food.

3. Do not eat fish and meat within half a month, but you can eat more liver, etc. Because a tired body cannot fully absorb the nutrients in fish and meat, too much nutrients will only increase the burden on the body and cause the phenomenon of "inability to be nourished". It should be started in the third week.

4. Food should be high in protein, low in fat and standardized.
