Things related to menstruation are always the unchanging topics for us women. Irregular menstruation, excessive menstrual flow, and delayed menstruation are all problems we may encounter frequently. But recently some female friends have reported that there is always brown discharge before and after ovulation. Why is this?

1. Luteal insufficiency

Generally speaking, when a woman's corpus luteum function is insufficient or begins to atrophy, it will cause brown discharge around ovulation.

2. Gynecological diseases

1. Ovulation bleeding

When brown discharge occurs outside of menstruation, if it occurs a few days after the end of menstruation, we can determine that it is caused by ovulation bleeding, because during ovulation, part of the endometrium will fall off, causing vaginal bleeding and producing brown discharge.
