Normal ferritin levels in pregnant women

Normal ferritin levels in pregnant women

Lactoferrin is a very important nutrient. It plays a very important role in the body. It is a supplementary nutrient and is very important for maintaining good health. The lactoferrin level in each person's body is different. For example, the lactoferrin level in pregnant women will vary greatly. Let's take a look at what the normal level of lactoferrin is in pregnant women.

Quantitative detection of ferritin is only one of the items. The normal value of serum ferritin is different in different genders, so the normal value for men and women is different. Generally speaking, the normal value in men is 80-130ug/L, and in women it is about 35-55ug/L.

Clinical trial observations have found that the causes of low ferritin levels in human serum include pregnancy, acute anemia, etc. Another important discovery is that when liver cancer patients have obvious therapeutic effects during treatment, serum ferritin will decrease accordingly, so its detection can also be used as one of the means to monitor the treatment effect of liver cancer patients.

After a woman becomes pregnant, the ferritin level in her body will drop significantly, which is normal, but it will generally be around 35-55ug/L (35-55ng/ml) and will not fall out of this range.

The dangers of high ferritin and low ferritin are quite similar. High ferritin may indicate diseases such as acute myeloid leukemia, lymphoma and pancreatic tumor, while low ferritin can easily affect the blood circulation and respiratory system.

Generally, the normal ferritin value for women during pregnancy is about 35 to 55ug/L, which is slightly higher than usual. This is because after pregnancy, due to the development needs of the baby, the pregnant woman's demand for iron also increases. If the ferritin level is insufficient, it can easily lead to symptoms of anemia in pregnant women. At this time, you can consider taking blood-enriching drugs for treatment under the doctor's advice.

Whether the ferritin level is high or low, the harm cannot be ignored, especially for women who are pregnant. It will have a certain impact on both the pregnant mother herself and the fetus in the womb. Therefore, once a pregnant woman finds that her ferritin level is abnormal, she should seek medical treatment immediately.
