How to relieve menstrual stomach pain

How to relieve menstrual stomach pain

During menstruation, many women experience more or less discomfort, and in more serious cases, they may even suffer from dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea has a particularly great impact on women during their menstrual period, and can even affect women's normal life and efficiency in daily work. So, how can women relieve dysmenorrhea symptoms? Below, we will introduce the relevant knowledge in detail.

1. Eat less cold food

Men are yang and women are yin. Girls' bodies tend to be colder and they may be more susceptible to dampness and cold. The cold air enters the abdomen and causes dysmenorrhea. If you are already suffering from dysmenorrhea, please do not continue to eat ice cream or iced foods. Some girls can eat ice cream and never suffer from dysmenorrhea. This only proves that there is too much heat in her body and it is okay for her to eat cold food. But I would like to advise all sisters here that the three-foot-thick ice did not form overnight, and not having an attack now does not mean that there will be no problem in the future.

2. Use less painkillers

Painkillers not only have side effects on the body, but most importantly, people will become dependent on them. For dysmenorrhea, they are only a temporary solution and do not address the root cause. Although the stomach pain is temporarily relieved, in the long run, if dysmenorrhea occurs for a long time and painkillers are taken all the time, in the end even the painkillers will be of no use. Therefore, try to endure the pain as much as possible, and do not take painkillers unless it reaches the point where you can’t bear it.

3. Drink brown sugar

You can buy red brown sugar in supermarkets, there are many kinds. The key is brown sugar. Buy a better kind of brown sugar that comes in bags. Brew with boiling water and drink two or even three bags a day. The pain can be significantly relieved within half a day. In addition, you should drink boiled water and go to the toilet frequently.

4. Hot compress

People with severe dysmenorrhea will feel that their whole body cannot be warmed up during menstruation, especially in the lower abdomen, where they will feel cold and painful. This situation will cause the menstrual blood to coagulate into blood clots, thereby blocking the menstrual blood and making it difficult to be discharged from the body. This is a common cause of dysmenorrhea. Generally speaking, the symptoms of dysmenorrhea will be relieved after the blood clot is discharged from the body. In response to this situation, it is recommended to apply hot compress to the lower abdomen, which can accelerate blood circulation in the abdomen, reduce the formation of blood clots, and thus alleviate the symptoms of dysmenorrhea.

5. Keep warm

People who suffer from severe dysmenorrhea basically have a cold constitution. People with this constitution have cold limbs and are afraid of cold. It is recommended to keep warm during menstruation to avoid catching cold. In particular, keep your feet and abdomen warm, and avoid being barefoot, wearing shorts, or exposing your belly button.
