Menstruation with leucorrhea

Menstruation with leucorrhea

Leucorrhea is a normal secretion in the female body. Whether the condition of leucorrhea is normal indicates whether a woman has gynecological diseases. Most women will have certain inflammation, such as vaginitis and other symptoms. If the leucorrhea is in the shape of tofu dregs and is very thick, it means that a gynecological disease has occurred. However, when menstruation comes, it is often accompanied by leucorrhea. What is the reason for menstruation being accompanied by leucorrhea?

1. Causes of leucorrhea during menstruation

1. It is normal to have a small amount of leucorrhea during menstruation, which may be caused by estrogen and progesterone secreted by the ovaries. It is not necessary to ovulate, leucorrhea has this characteristic.

2. This situation is also normal. Menstrual blood flows out of the uterine cavity, while leucorrhea is the secretion from the vagina. The vagina is affected by sex hormones and also undergoes cyclical changes. As long as there is no odor or itching, it is not a big deal. It is recommended that you don’t worry about it and just keep warm during menstruation.

3. In addition to blood, blood clots, and endometrial fragments, menstruation also contains cervical mucus and vaginal epithelium. So if you see stringy leucorrhea in your menstrual blood, this is cervical mucus, which is normal.

4. When menstruation is accompanied by leucorrhea, you should avoid colds during menstruation. It is best not to eat cold food or drink cold water. Bathing and sexual intercourse are prohibited to prevent infection. Pay attention to proper rest and avoid strenuous exercise to avoid dysmenorrhea and excessive menstrual bleeding.

2. What does menstruation mean?

Menstruation is a physiological cycle that occurs in some fertile female humans and in chimpanzees and other hominins. Cows, horses, camels, pigs, and sheep also menstruate, and some mammals experience estrus cycles. In women of childbearing age and female primates, the endometrium undergoes cyclical changes every month or so, with autonomous thickening, blood vessel proliferation, glandular growth and secretion, and endometrial collapse and shedding accompanied by bleeding. This periodic vaginal discharge or uterine bleeding is called menstruation.
