Breast tenderness at 34 weeks of pregnancy

Breast tenderness at 34 weeks of pregnancy

The body will have many reactions after pregnancy. Expectant mothers will feel breast pain and swelling, and sometimes a sticky yellowish substance will appear when squeezing the breasts. This is mainly due to the strong secretion of hormones in the body after pregnancy, which promotes the enlargement of breasts, causing lumps and pain in the breasts. This is to prepare for breastfeeding in the future. It is a normal phenomenon, so don't worry. So what methods can be used to relieve it?

If there is sudden, persistent, severe pain in the breast accompanied by obvious tenderness, it is considered to be various acute infectious diseases of the breast. If there is local throbbing pain, local suppuration may have occurred. If breast pain is paroxysmal and often begins before menstruation or worsens during menstruation, and is relieved or disappears after menstruation, it is considered premenstrual tension syndrome. The pain is distending or stabbing, sometimes involving the ipsilateral armpit or shoulder and back. If there is mild to moderate tenderness locally, it is considered to be a proliferative lesion.

In most cases, abdominal pain in late pregnancy is physiological, which is often called "false labor." In the third trimester, the frequency of abdominal pain will increase significantly compared to the second trimester. This is the mother's body preparing for the birth of the baby!

What kind of abdominal pain is it?

A. The pain level does not exceed that during menstruation, the duration is very short, and the intervals between pains are very long - most of them are false labor contractions. Just rest and don't worry too much.

B. Tearing pain in the lower abdomen, possibly with vaginal bleeding - this may be placental abruption, and you should seek medical attention immediately.

C. Continuous severe pain - This may be premature birth or threatened uterine rupture, and you need to go to the hospital as soon as possible.

D. Regular abdominal pain - this may be a sign of labor. Be prepared and go to the hospital.

What should I do when I have abdominal pain?

1. Stop and rest for a while, and then move again after the pain has subsided.

2. Lying on the left side helps relieve pain.

3. If there is bleeding, be sure to go to the hospital in time.

The breast tenderness is caused by the increase of estrogen. When women experience obvious breast pain in late pregnancy, they can use a hot towel for local heat compresses and avoid emotions such as anger and anxiety that aggravate breast pain. In addition, everyone should be alert to the occurrence of breast diseases. It is recommended that if the pain is severe, timely examination is required!
