Cervical polyps are a common gynecological disease, and the incidence rate of this gynecological disease is generally in the 40s and 50s. Because after women reach this age, they have basically entered menopause, and the various functions of the body will gradually weaken, and the physical fitness will become worse, so it is very likely to cause cervical polyps. So what do women feel when they have cervical polyps? Cervical polyps often occur in multiparous women aged 40 to 60 years old. When polyps are very small, patients do not have any discomfort symptoms. Most of the time, they are discovered during gynecological examinations due to other diseases. A small number of larger polyps will show increased vaginal discharge, or a few traces of blood in the center of the vaginal discharge, or even a small amount of vaginal bleeding, that is, bloody vaginal discharge or contact bleeding, which is especially prone to bleeding after sexual intercourse and when squatting and straining to defecate. When a vaginal speculum is used to expose the cervix during a routine gynecological examination, the polyps seen vary in size and shape and can be roughly divided into two types: The first type: The roots of cervical polyps are mostly attached to the external os of the cervix or inside the cervical canal. They are generally small in size, with a diameter of less than 1 cm, single or multiple, bright red in color, soft in texture, easy to bleed, and with a slender pedicle. The appearance is like a water drop forming an oblate body. The second type: cervical polyps occur in the cervix. This type of polyp is superficial, protrudes to the surface, has a wide base, is light red in color, and has a tough texture. Most uterine polyps are benign, but a very small number of them become malignant, with a malignancy rate of 0.2 to 0.4%. If cervical polyps are removed, they often recur. In mild cases, there are no symptoms and they are discovered during gynecological examinations. In severe cases, there will be blood in the leucorrhea and bleeding during sexual intercourse. These are all caused by cervical inflammation. If it is not very large, you can ignore it for now and just place medication in the vagina for treatment, such as Xiaomi suppositories, Baofukang suppositories, etc. If the polyp is relatively large, you can do a small operation to remove it. |
