Is it normal for the fetus to move under the belly?

After a pregnant woman becomes pregnant, fetal movements are more obvious. Through fetal movements, she can also understand whether the baby in the belly is healthy. If the fetal movement is below the lower abdomen, it is generally a normal phenomenon. As a pregnant mother, don’t worry too much. You should keep a relaxed attitude and do a good job of prenatal examinations. Of course, if there is severe lower abdominal pain, you should see a doctor in time. Let’s take a look at this aspect.

Is it normal for the fetus to move under the belly?

That's okay. Normal. Don't be nervous. But if you have stomach pain, you must go to the hospital to see a doctor. This way you can feel at ease.

Fetal movement refers to the fetus's autonomous activity in the pregnant woman's uterine cavity hitting the uterine wall, causing changes in the pregnant woman's abdomen. Fetal movement is easily affected by the pregnant woman's emotions, movements, environmental stimuli, etc. It is one of the indicators to detect the increase or decrease in fetal activity. Abnormal fetal movement generally also indicates potential health problems.

The time period when fetal movements occur frequently:

1. After a meal, the blood sugar level in the pregnant woman's body increases, the baby also has nutrition supply, and the fetal movement will become more frequent.

2. When taking a bath, pregnant women are more relaxed physically and mentally. This emotion will "infect" the baby, making the fetus more energetic.

3. The baby moves more frequently before going to bed at night because the baby is more energetic at this time, and the pregnant woman can quietly and carefully feel the fetal movement at this time.

4. When interacting with the fetus, whether it is the father or the mother, there will be fetal movement response when interacting with the fetus.

5. When listening to music, external music stimulation will make the fetus become active, which is a manifestation of the fetus's emotions.

Fetal movement detection method

1. Daytime measurement: Pregnant women measure fetal movements 10 times during the day.

Test results: If 10 fetal movements can be detected, it is normal. If the fetal movement detection is less than 10 times, it may be abnormal.

2. Three-point detection: Pregnant women should measure fetal movements at the same fixed time period every day, one hour each in the morning, noon and evening. Add the three recorded fetal movements and multiply by 4 to calculate the number of fetal movements in 12 hours.

Test results: The number of fetal movements within 12 hours is generally 30 times, which is normal. If the number of times decreases by 50% or is far below 30 times, it may be abnormal fetal movement and you need to go to the hospital for further examination.

3. Post-meal test: From the 28th week of pregnancy, pregnant women are advised to lie on their left side after dinner and record the time required for 10 fetal movements.

Test results: If the time for 10 fetal movements is less than 120 minutes, it means that there is no abnormality in the number of fetal movements; if you do not feel the fetal movement, or the time for 10 fetal movements is more than 2 hours, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible for further examination.

4. Duration detection: the time required for a pregnant woman to monitor 10 fetal movements.

Test results: If the time taken for 10 fetal movements exceeds three hours, it may be abnormal and you can go to the hospital for further examination. Note: The fetus's activities in the uterus have their own rules and range. Pregnant women can understand the fetus's movement patterns by observing for a period of time.
