Breast pain a few days before period

Breast pain a few days before period

If a woman experiences breast pain during her menstrual period, that is, a few days before her menstrual period, it is most likely a symptom caused by breast hyperplasia. Breast hyperplasia is also a relatively common disease. If it is allowed to exist for a long time without regulation and treatment, breast hyperplasia may turn into breast cancer. So, what are the specific symptoms of breast hyperplasia?

1. Breast pain

Breast pain mainly refers to frequent tingling or swelling in the breasts. This pain in the breast is clearly linked to the menstrual cycle. This pain often occurs or worsens a few days before menstruation, but it disappears significantly after menstruation.

In addition, women's emotional fluctuations can also cause breast pain. Breast pain caused by breast hyperplasia is often more severe on one side of the breast, which may even be untouchable, and tends to extend to the armpits and sides, affecting women's normal life and work. Of course, some breast hyperplasia may manifest as nipple itching or pain.

2. Breast lumps

Breast lumps also change with the menstrual cycle. Before menstruation, the lumps will be harder and gradually grow larger, but after menstruation, the lumps will gradually become smaller and softer.

Lumps may appear in one or both breasts, appearing as lumps of varying numbers, sizes, and shapes. The shapes of lumps include flaky, granular, nodular, etc., and flaky lumps are more common. The lumps often have no distinct borders, are often tender, and are often mobile.

3. Nipple discharge

Nipple discharge is also an early symptom of breast hyperplasia. A small number of patients will find milky discharge when squeezing their nipples. The milky discharge is generally bloody, milky white, or straw yellow or brown, which is easier for patients to detect.

4. Irregular menstruation

Women with breast hyperplasia have irregular menstrual cycles, less blood flow, lighter color, and some also experience dysmenorrhea.

5. Mood changes

Patients with breast hyperplasia have greater mood swings and are easily depressed and angry. Once there are negative emotions such as nervous tension and fatigue, the condition of breast hyperplasia will be aggravated.
