The harm of women wearing rings

The harm of women wearing rings

For most women, it does not seem to cause any harm and is a very good method of contraception. However, for some women, wearing an IUD may have adverse effects on the body. For example, it may easily induce infection, may cause bleeding, may cause symptoms of vaginal discharge, and may also cause an increase in leucorrhea, etc. At this time, you must go to the hospital for examination.

The dangers of having a ring on a woman

1. Infection: IUD insertion can cause infection. When inserting an IUD, the doctor will strictly disinfect the woman's vulva, vagina and endometrium, and infection rarely occurs.

2. Bleeding: Most women will have a small amount of bleeding 3-4 days after the insertion of the IUD. This can stimulate the uterus to contract, and can also quickly scratch the cervical canal or endometrium and cause bleeding.

3. Lower abdominal pain or back pain: A few women will have this feeling after the IUD is inserted. This is caused by the contraction of the uterus after the IUD is inserted. Sometimes it can also be caused by the IUD being too large or moved to the lower part of the uterus.

4. Increased vaginal discharge: If a contraceptive ring with a tail thread is installed, it can also cause a significant increase in cervical secretions, that is, increased vaginal discharge.

5. Increased menstrual flow: In the early stages of IUD insertion, especially in the first three months, women may experience prolonged menstrual periods or irregular spotting.

Things to know about Sheung Wan

1. Take adequate rest. After the ring is placed, the cervix is relatively loose and the ring is easy to fall off, so you should rest for two days after the ring is placed. You should not do heavy physical labor or participate in high-intensity activities within a week.

2. Maintain hygiene. IUD insertion is a surgical procedure. In order to avoid infection, keep the vulva clean after the operation, wash the lower body with warm water every night, and change underwear.

3. Pay attention to observation. There may be a small amount of vaginal bleeding and mild lower abdominal discomfort within a few days after the ring is placed (mainly in the first three days), which will generally disappear on their own and do not require treatment. If the bleeding is heavy or lasts for more than a week, especially if there is abdominal pain or fever, you should see a doctor immediately.

4. To prevent the ring from falling off, within the first 3 months after insertion, especially for some women with loose cervix and heavy menstrual flow, the IUD may fall off along with the menstrual blood during menstruation.

5. Regular follow-up. The follow-up time is usually in the first month after the IUD is placed. Go to the hospital for a check-up once after the menstruation is over.

6. Be careful about hidden pregnancy. IUDs are not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. A very small number of women may become pregnant with an IUD.

I believe that through the above introduction we have a certain understanding of the contraceptive method of women with IUDs, and also have a deep understanding of its possible disadvantages. Therefore, we hope that women can choose their own contraceptive methods scientifically, and must not choose the wrong contraceptive method due to their lack of understanding, which will leave regrets and cause serious consequences to their bodies.
