1. What does labor pain feel like?

1. Pain all over the body: The uterus contracts due to the squeezing of the fetus, causing pain all over the body.

2. Stretching pain: When the fetus is about to be born, the uterine muscles, vagina, perineum and other soft birth canals are stretched, and you can feel the pain of the tissues and skin being stretched.

3. Compression pain: The nerves in the pelvis are compressed by the fetal head. My waist, hips and heels hurt a lot.

When the mother starts to feel contractions, she should calculate the intervals between her contractions. The initial feeling was a slow, dull pain in my stomach and irregular pain in my waist. Then the intervals became shorter and the pain became stronger. When you feel pain, you must be careful and record the time intervals between contractions during the pain. Gradually you will find that the contractions become regular. Every 10 minutes, the contractions will last 30 seconds longer and become increasingly intense.

2. What to do about labor pains before childbirth

1. Divert attention: If the pregnant mother focuses on breathing, she will feel relaxed and quickly divert her attention. If she is afraid of pain, it will cause muscle tension and make the pain worse, so she must relax and stay calm.

2. Appropriate activities: When you feel pain, you can constantly change your lying position or walk around. This will not only relieve the pain, but also the effect of gravity when walking will help with childbirth. Don't move during the period when the pain stops and between contractions. This is the time for the fetus to rest. Pregnant mothers should not be too anxious.

3. Massage: If the pain is unbearable, applying external force can relieve the pain. At this time, asking the husband or family members to massage the hands and feet can also distract the mother's attention appropriately, making her feel safe and cared for.
