I believe everyone has heard of human papillomavirus. This virus can lurk in many places, such as the sensitive vagina, sensitive genitals, and organs of the body. It lurks in the body and finally breaks out, causing a great impact on the patient's body. When people test positive for human papillomavirus 16, they must go to the hospital for further diagnosis and determine the cause of the disease before receiving treatment. Human papillomavirus nucleic acid test Human papillomavirus nucleic acid test uses only the polymerase chain reaction method to detect human papillomavirus nucleic acid DNA, including qualitative and quantitative typing tests, which are used for the diagnosis of diseases such as genital warts. The related items are vaginal cytology examination. The specimen collection requirement is to collect secretions or exfoliated cells from the lesion site. The normal reference range is negative. It is mainly used for high-risk genes associated with cervical cancer. Genotype testing assists in evaluation. For women with abnormal vaginal cytology results, only if there are abnormalities in human papillomavirus nucleic acid genes 16 and 18, it can assist in judging the high-risk human papillomavirus infection with negative vaginal cytology results. Positive results can be used as a diagnostic standard indicator for human papillomavirus infection. Typing testing can provide treatment decision-making information for potential risk classification. It is common in genital warts, cervical and anogenital tract cancers caused by human papillomavirus. Various types of human papillomavirus infection often cause benign lesions such as external genital warts, including low-grade lesions within the cervical epithelium. Interpretation Papilloma refers to the enlargement and hardening of the anal papilla due to long-term stimulation from feces and chronic inflammation. It is one of the common benign tumors of the anorectum. The arrangement of cells and stroma within the tumor is the same as that of normal tissue. It is surrounded by an outer membrane, grows slowly, and rarely recurs after resection. As the anal papilla gradually grows larger, it sometimes prolapses out of the anus during bowel movements. Repeated prolapse stimulates the anal canal, causing increased secretions. Therefore, in addition to the prolapse of the anal papilloma, the main clinical manifestations include bleeding after defecation, a feeling of incomplete defecation, and anal itching. The disease has an insidious onset and slowly progresses. It is a benign tumor and has good therapeutic effects. It is more common in young and middle-aged people, and women are more likely to develop it than men. Vaccines The HPV vaccine can prevent four subtypes, including HPV6, 11, 16, and 18, and can also prevent related diseases such as cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, vulvar cancer, and genital warts caused by these four viruses. There are currently two HPV vaccines on the market. One is a quadrivalent vaccine that targets four virus types: HPV-6, HPV-11, HPV-16, and HPV-18; the other is a bivalent vaccine that only targets HPV-16 and HPV-18, both of which are high-risk HPVs that can cause cervical cancer. |
