What can I do when I am bored?

During the confinement period, girls go out less often and sometimes feel particularly bored. When you are bored, you can actually cultivate your own interests and hobbies, read books, or even play more with your baby to increase the affection between mother and child. Although I have reduced the time for my own activities, it is still a very happy thing to leave my time to my family. So, what should a mother do when she feels bored during the confinement period?

1. Learn parenting knowledge

Moms can't be lazy! Although you have a confinement nanny or family members to take care of you and you can roll around in bed every day, after all, you will be the one to take care of the baby after the confinement period. So take advantage of this rest time to learn some parenting knowledge from the confinement nanny. At the very least, you should learn the routine operations such as mixing milk powder, feeding, burping, changing diapers, washing the baby, and bathing. Those with higher requirements will need to learn about massage, cultivating regular work and rest schedules, early education, etc.

2. Appropriate entertainment

It is not recommended to often look at mobile phones, TV, books, etc. that are easy to cause eye fatigue during the confinement period. You can listen to light music, download an audiobook APP to listen to audio novels, etc. In addition, you should pay attention to proper exercise and walking, and not sit or lie down every day.

3. Physical conditioning and recovery

On the one hand, exercise is appropriate. Two weeks after giving birth, mothers can do activities such as anal contraction, buttocks lifting, and limb movements. One month after giving birth, they can practice postpartum recovery exercises depending on their recovery status.

On the other hand, there is dietary adjustment. If you have a professional confinement nanny or family members with experience in taking care of confinement women, they will provide segmented dietary adjustment according to your physical condition. If not, you need to learn about confinement meals and let your family prepare confinement meals according to your requirements.

4. Communicate with friends. Chat with other mothers who are in confinement, share experiences in taking care of babies, etc. New mothers can use this opportunity to relax their nervous emotions and maintain a good and happy mood. This is very helpful in ensuring adequate milk secretion, better breastfeeding and preventing postpartum depression.
