Can I keep the baby during the confinement period?

Doctors recommend that couples should not have sexual intercourse during the confinement period. If they have sexual intercourse during this time, it will make it difficult for the girl's body to recover and may even leave a root of illness. But there are always some people who cannot control their desires and have sex during the confinement period, and even get pregnant. If you get pregnant at this time, the fetus needs strict monitoring and parents should be mentally prepared. So, can you keep the baby you conceived during the confinement period?

Because the confinement period is the time for the mother's body to recover. If the mother's body has not recovered yet and she gets pregnant, it will be very harmful to the body. She will not have enough nutrition for herself, and she will have to provide it to the baby in her belly, so the newborn baby will be even more unhealthy.

The mother should try to get 10 hours of sleep every day and sleep on her side to facilitate the recovery of the uterus. There must be sufficient rest time, otherwise the mother will experience anxiety, fatigue, depression, and it will also affect the secretion of milk and sweat. Avoid standing, squatting or doing heavy work for long periods of time to prevent uterine prolapse. You can gradually resume normal work 8 weeks after delivery, and postpartum gymnastics can help you recover your body shape.

Personal hygiene is very important. You should take a bath and change your underwear frequently to keep your skin clean and dry. If you have had an episiotomy and the stitches have not been removed, you should scrub your vulva once a day, rinse your mouth after meals, brush your teeth on time, and pay attention to oral hygiene.

The living environment should be quiet, comfortable, with plenty of sunlight, and the room should be ventilated regularly to ensure fresh air and provide sufficient oxygen for the mother and baby. Fresh air can eliminate the fatigue of the mother and help the body recover.

In the first few days, you should eat light, easily digestible, nutritious food. Drinking more soup will help produce milk. Eat more fruits and vegetables to supplement the vitamins needed by the human body. Breastfeeding mothers should also take calcium-containing products or calcium supplements. The diet should be balanced, eat less spicy food, and have appropriate snacks in addition to the three meals.
