What to do if a girl doesn't listen

What to do if a girl doesn't listen

In our lives, many children develop a rebellious mentality when they enter puberty. Especially for girls, before entering puberty, they may be particularly obedient, but after puberty, their rebellious mentality will become particularly strong. They often disobey their teachers and parents, which makes parents very worried. So what should parents do if girls are disobedient?

Here are some suggestions for parents:

Method 1: Learn some knowledge about adolescent psychology

It can be said that many changes in adolescent girls make parents at a loss: they do not allow their parents to touch their things; they like to stay in their room alone; they are tired of the parent-child caress that they once loved; their parents' preaching no longer has any effect on them, but only arouses disgust; their parents' restrictions and accusations may even provoke their resistance. In fact, behind these changes lies the unique psychology of adolescent girls. If parents have some knowledge of psychology, understand their children's inner thoughts and respect their children, I believe they can reduce the girl's opposition to themselves and help her smoothly through this rebellious period.

When a girl grows up, she will have her own way of thinking. Parents’ constant scolding will only hurt the girl’s self-esteem and lead to rebellious behavior. Therefore, parents’ educational methods must change accordingly. They cannot “head-on” but must learn to “guide”. Parents must first learn to listen to what their children say, change their previous one-sided preaching approach, understand their children's inner needs, and make girls feel respected by their parents, so as to satisfy the girl's sense of accomplishment as an adult.

Some psychologists emphasize that in order to make children obedient and not resist, they must be given more love and care. The love of parents can eliminate the girl's hostility. In a relaxed atmosphere, they can guide her to think about "what are the benefits of doing this" and "how can I make more people like me." Parents should stand on an equal footing with the girl and communicate with her sincerely. When the girl understands her parents' good intentions, she will open her heart and stop rebelling.

Method 2: Support girls to make friends with mentors and helpful friends

The girl attaches great importance to the relationships around her and always gets along with others attentively. When entering the "weaning period", children psychologically begin to want to break away from their parents. Children will inevitably feel empty when they suddenly lose their dependence on their parents. If there are no friends to accompany the child at this time, it is easy for the child to go to the extreme of autism.

Friends are the "good recipe" to help children successfully go through adolescence. Supporting your daughter in making friends and mentors can indirectly express your love and care and can reduce your child's rebellious emotions. When a girl is with good friends of the same age, they have common topics to talk about and solve their troubles together, which is very helpful for children to get through this special period. At the same time, help girls make friends with older mentors and helpful friends. Their experiences and ways of doing things can subtly influence girls. Smart parents know how to give girls the freedom to make friends, and know how to understand a girl’s inner world by getting closer to her circle of friends.
