female

Pubic hair is a secondary sexual characteristic of humans. During female puberty, there are two more prominent developmental characteristics: one is breasts, and the other is the growth of pubic hair.

The growth of female pubic hair is divided into six stages:

In the first stage, before the age of 10, there is no visible pubic hair.

The second stage, around 10-11 years old, is when pubic hair begins to grow sparsely, long, and soft, and is slightly curly.

The third stage, from 12 to 13 years old, is when the pubic hair increases in number and gradually becomes curly, thicker and darker in color.

Stage 4, 14-15 years old, pubic hair expands to cover the labia.

The fifth stage, 16-17 years old, the pubic hair expands to the pubic area and becomes adult type.

In the sixth stage, at the age of 18, the pubic hair is distributed in a typical inverted triangle shape to the inner thighs.

male

Stage 1: There is no pubic hair, and body hair grows like other general body parts.

Stage 2: Slightly loose, straight or slightly curved pubic hair begins to appear, mainly at the base of the penis.

Stage 3: Pubic hair becomes darker, thicker, and more curly, and begins to spread to the middle of the pubic area.

Stage 4: Pubic hair is similar to that of adults, but the area covered by the hair is still narrow and has not extended to the legs.

Stage 5: Pubic hair growth reaches the quality and quantity of adults, and the distribution of pubic hair forms an inverted triangle.
