If you eat some food that is difficult to digest and exercise less, this symptom will often occur. In addition, it should be understood that if you eat some heavy-tasting food, too much salt intake or eat some soy products, it may cause nausea and bloating. Of course, you should also be alert to some diseases, such as gastroenteritis, liver and gallbladder diseases, etc.

Why do women feel nausea and bloating?

1. Be careful of foods that can easily make you angry

Beans and cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli and cabbage, contain a complex sugar called raffinose, which is more difficult for the human body to absorb than other types of sugar. When it is absorbed with difficulty in the intestines, it produces a byproduct - gas. However, don't give up eating these foods just because they cause gas. You can eat high-fiber foods at the same time to improve bloating.

2. Eating too much salt can also cause bloating

Eating too much salt at one time will cause the body to retain water, which can cause bloating. Therefore, try to avoid high-salt foods, such as packaged foods, fried foods, and especially canned soups or instant noodles. The salt content in one serving is close to the daily requirement of the human body. Instead, focus on eating more fresh vegetables and whole grains.

3. Check for sugar alcohols in food

Sugar alcohol is a sweetener that is often found in chewing gum or other sugar-free foods. Sugar alcohols can be partially digested and can also produce gas. If you want to avoid bloating, when buying food, check carefully whether it contains ingredients such as sugar alcohols, such as sorbitol, maltitol or xylitol. Chewing gum contains sorbitol, so you should also chew less gum.

4. Lactose intolerance and bloating

If you feel bloated or have diarrhea within an hour of drinking milk, or even worse, this is a typical symptom of lactose intolerance. People with lactose intolerance do not have enough lactase in their intestines and cannot fully digest the lactose in dairy products. If you're experiencing bloating due to lactose intolerance, your best option isn't to give up milk, but to drink lactose-free milk or take tablets that help break down lactose.

5. Avoid taking high-fiber foods

Although high-fiber foods are beneficial for your health, some high-fiber vegetables and fruits may increase gas. If you want to increase the amount of fiber in your diet for health reasons, start with smaller amounts to allow your intestines to gradually adapt, which can reduce bloating.

6. Stay away from acidic fruit juice drinks

Acidic fruit juice drinks can disrupt the digestive tract, stimulate sensitive nerves and cause fever, etc. Drinking too much of them can make people feel like they have acid reflux, but in fact it is just a disturbance. Excess acid in the abdomen can cause other problems. If you drink it on an empty stomach, your digestive tract is already full of acidic substances, and the addition of excess acid can cause abdominal pain.
