Nipples are the most important private part of the breasts. Even if many women go out wearing bikinis and expose most of their breasts, they will find ways to cover their nipples. After all, no one wants their privacy to be seen by outsiders. If you observe the nipples carefully, you will find that in addition to becoming engorged when stimulated, there will be some small bumps around them, just like fat particles. So, what are those lumps next to the nipples? Adult women may have granules around the nipples. It is a skin characteristic, not a skin disease. The skin of the areola has hair and glands. The glands include sweat glands, sebaceous glands and mammary glands. Its sebaceous glands, also known as areola glands, are some obvious small protrusions on the areola. They are large and superficial and are used to secrete oil and protect the delicate nipples and areola. The secretions protect the skin and lubricate the nipples and baby's lips. Secondly, the small white bumps on the areola may be something similar to the "fat granules" that grow around the eyes. These small particles become more obvious during pregnancy and are called Montessori nodes. The breasts begin to enlarge and become noticeably engorged in early pregnancy. Pregnant women may feel breast swelling or occasional tingling, and superficial veins may be clearly visible. Alveolar hyperplasia makes the breasts harder and tougher, the nipples become larger and darker, and easier to erect. The areola becomes darker and the sebaceous glands around the areola hypertrophy to form scattered small nodular protrusions, called Montessori nodes. During pregnancy, the placenta secretes a large amount of estrogen to stimulate the development of mammary ducts, and secretes a large amount of progesterone to stimulate the development of mammary alveoli. Complete breast development also requires the participation of pituitary prolactin, placental lactogen, as well as insulin, cortisol, thyroid hormone, etc. It is known that breast cell membranes have pituitary prolactin receptors and estrogen receptors and progesterone receptors in the cytoplasm. Although a large number of hormones are involved in breast development and preparation for lactation during pregnancy, there is no milk secretion during pregnancy, which is related to the fact that a large amount of estrogen and progesterone inhibit milk production. In the late pregnancy, especially when squeezing the breasts close to delivery, a few drops of thin yellow liquid called colostrum may overflow. People officially start to secrete milk after delivery. |
