Is it normal to have your period 10 days early?

Menstruation generally has a cycle of 28 days. It is okay if it comes ten days early occasionally without any discomfort. But if it comes early frequently, you should pay attention, as it may be due to luteal insufficiency, puberty or menopause, or uterine fibroids, incorrect contraceptive methods, etc.

1. Luteal insufficiency: due to the shortening of the relatively fixed luteal phase, the menstrual cycle becomes shorter. This disease often occurs during the reproductive age.

2. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding during puberty: It is caused by the incomplete development of hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian function;

3. Menopausal functional uterine bleeding: caused by ovarian dysfunction;

4. Poor ovarian storage function: mostly occurs in women of childbearing age after 35 years old;

5. Some women who experience heavy bleeding during ovulation may also experience frequent menstruation;

6. Severe uterine fibroids may cause heavy menstrual flow, frequent menstruation or shortened menstrual cycles.

7. Improper contraceptive methods, such as taking birth control pills, may also cause menstruation to come half a month earlier.

8. Stress Long-term excessive stress leads to mental tension, which in turn causes endocrine disorders and changes in menstrual patterns. If you are under stress for a long time, it will inhibit the function of the pituitary gland, causing the ovaries to no longer secrete female hormones and ovulate, and your menstruation will begin to become disordered. Similarly, long-term depression, sulking or bad mood can also affect menstruation.

9. Abuse of drugs Abuse of drugs or frequent use of large amounts of drugs can cause menstrual disorders, anovulation, and amenorrhea in women. This may be because the drugs suppress and damage a person's own resistance, leading to body dysfunction.
