Leucorrhea is wet and underwear is soaked

For women, leucorrhea is an important indicator of whether the body is healthy. However, many people experience some abnormal leucorrhea. But most female friends don’t actually pay attention to it. So today we will talk about what diseases cause watery leucorrhea. I hope that everyone can pay more attention when encountering watery leucorrhea and go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time.

Experts say: Normal leucorrhea refers to a small amount of white mucus flowing out from the inside to the outside, which contains a large amount of exfoliated epithelial cells of the reproductive tract and is odorless and thin in texture. When inflammation or tumor occurs in the reproductive tract, the amount of leucorrhea will increase, and its color and properties will also change. This is the phenomenon of abnormal leucorrhea encountered by women. One type of leucorrhea is called watery leucorrhea. Its symptoms are that the leucorrhea suddenly becomes clear like water, often wetting women's underwear, and is accompanied by a foul odor. But what exactly causes leucorrhea to be so abnormal?

If a woman experiences leucorrhea that is as thin as water, it is likely caused by the following reasons.

1. Gynecological tumors. If there is a lot of watery vaginal discharge and it lasts for a long time, it may be a sign of endometrial cancer or fallopian tube cancer.

2. Endocrine disorders. The formation of leucorrhea is closely related to female estrogen. When the secretion of estrogen reaches its highest level, the amount of leucorrhea may increase, and it will be sticky like egg white and can be pulled into threads.

3. Candidal vaginitis. About half of the patients with candidal vaginitis will have a large amount of watery leucorrhea, moderate redness and edema of the vaginal mucosa, no severe itching or burning sensation, only a feeling of moisture in the vulva.

4. Pelvic inflammatory disease. When women suffer from pelvic inflammatory disease, they will experience a large increase in vaginal discharge, which may be thick like pus or thin like water, or have a foul odor, itching, burning pain in the vagina, as well as back pain, weak legs, and lower abdominal distension and pain.
