I feel water flowing out of my lower body

Women will have secretions every month, which is very important for women. It can moisturize the vagina and help improve the quality of sexual life. However, when you feel water flowing out of your lower body and it is not leucorrhea, you should go to the hospital for examination, because the vagina will not secrete for no reason.

Female vaginal discharge, commonly known as "leucorrhea", is a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudates, cervical glands and endometrial secretions. Its amount and properties are closely related to the levels of estrogen and progesterone, and are also closely related to the presence or absence of inflammation, tumors, etc. in local tissues.

In clinical practice, people often divide vaginal discharge into three types according to the amount of vaginal secretions: increased leucorrhea, normal leucorrhea and decreased leucorrhea. They can also be divided into transparent viscous leucorrhea, purulent leucorrhea, cheesy leucorrhea, bloody leucorrhea, and yellow watery leucorrhea according to the characteristics of the leucorrhea.

In the dermatology clinic, there are many female patients who come to the clinic with increased vaginal discharge. They are always worried about whether they are infected with some sexually transmitted disease. In fact, there are many reasons for increased vaginal discharge, including physiological reasons and pathological reasons. Pathological reasons include infectious and non-infectious reasons. Infectious reasons can be divided into increased vaginal discharge in women caused by sexually transmitted diseases and non-sexually transmitted diseases. The following is a brief description of each one.

1. Increased physiological vaginal discharge

Women who have reached sexual maturity may experience increased vaginal discharge during ovulation, premenstrual period and pregnancy, or after taking contraceptives or estrogen drugs, due to increased estrogen levels in the body. This is a physiological increase in vaginal discharge, which is mostly manifested as transparent and sticky leucorrhea without odor. Most patients have no subjective symptoms and do not receive treatment.

2. Pathological increase in vaginal discharge

Local inflammation, tumors and other reasons of the female reproductive system can cause increased vaginal secretions. This is a pathological increase in vaginal secretions, which can manifest as leucorrhea of different characteristics and different degrees of odor. Most patients have corresponding multiple subjective symptoms.

1. Increased infectious vaginal discharge

There are many pathogens that cause female reproductive system infections, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, mycoplasma, chlamydia, Trichomonas, etc. Many pathogens can be transmitted through sexual contact and can be divided into sexually transmitted diseases and non-sexually transmitted diseases. There are some different special clinical manifestations depending on the pathogens.

1. Increased vaginal discharge in women caused by sexually transmitted diseases: Common sexually transmitted diseases, such as candidal vaginitis, gonorrhea, non-gonococcal urogenital tract inflammation, trichomoniasis, bacterial vaginosis, etc. can all cause increased vaginal discharge in women.

(1) Candidal vaginitis: It is a fungal disease caused by Candida species, mainly Candida albicans, and its main symptoms are vulvar and vaginal itching and increased leucorrhea. The vaginal mucosa is edematous and covered with a milky white film. When the film is removed, the eroded surface can be seen. It is easy to bleed. The leucorrhea increases and is watery or purulent. Typically, it is white gel-like or tofu-like with a foul odor. The patient feels vulvar itching. Candida can be found in direct fungal microscopy or culture of the leucorrhea.
