Symptoms of two pregnancies are different

Now that the country has opened up its policies, more and more people are having a second child. However, many pregnant women say that the pregnancy reactions were different when they were pregnant with the first and second child. In fact, if the two fetuses are of the same gender, the pregnancy reactions are almost the same. If they are of different genders, there may be some differences in the pregnancy reactions. And many women may have a bigger reaction when they are pregnant with the second child than the first, because the second child is older than the first. So why are the symptoms of pregnancy different for the two fetuses?

Pregnant twins may have more severe reactions than singletons

Of course, it is worth noting for all expectant mothers that if you are pregnant with twins or even multiple babies, you will face multiple pregnancy reactions and greater risks.

If the expectant mother is pregnant with twins, the incidence of anemia in twin pregnant women is about 40%. After the second trimester, since the uterus of twins grows faster than that of ordinary pregnant women, it will compress the heart, lungs and inferior vena cava and make it more likely to have discomfort such as palpitations, difficulty breathing and lower limb edema.

At the same time, due to the enlargement and overstretching of the uterus, twin pregnancy is prone to premature rupture of membranes, and the fetus often cannot survive to full term. The risk of premature birth in twins is about 5 times greater than that in a single pregnancy, and the mortality and dystocia rates of twins are higher than those of a single pregnancy. From this we can see that if expectant mothers are pregnant with twins, they must take adequate risk response measures!
