What causes left side waist pain in women

Women's left side waist pain should be taken seriously. It can be caused by many reasons. When women have waist pain, they can also clearly feel the specific symptoms of waist pain. Some diseases and physical labor can cause women's left side waist pain. So what is the reason for women's left side waist pain?

Kidney stones: Low back pain is also an obvious symptom of kidney stones. Generally speaking, the pain of lower back pain caused by kidney stones is located higher up, above the waist and on both sides of the lumbar vertebrae. For patients, when they experience low back pain, they must go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time to determine whether the low back pain is caused by kidney stones, and do a good job of preventing kidney stones to avoid serious illness leading to kidney dysfunction.

Lumbar spine disease: more common in elderly women. With the increase of age, the symptoms of lumbar nerve compression will also increase. Pseudospondylolisthesis caused by degenerative diseases is a common disease, which can easily cause lumbar spinal stenosis, compress the spinal cord and nerve roots, lead to low back pain and radiating pain in the lower limbs, and is often caused by vertebral collapse fractures due to osteoporosis. Osteophyte formation in the elderly can cause spinal stiffness and can also lead to persistent low back pain.

Reproductive diseases: The incidence of inflammation of the female reproductive organs is relatively high, such as chronic adnexitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, pelvic connective tissue inflammation, salpingitis, etc. These inflammations are prone to complications such as low back pain. Patients with pelvic tumors such as uterine fibroids, cervical cancer, and ovarian cysts may experience low back pain due to tumor compression of nerves or infiltration of cancer cells into the pelvic connective tissue. In addition, abnormal uterine position such as anteversion, retroflexion, and prolapse can also cause low back pain.

Lumbar muscle strain: People who work in standing positions for a long time, stand continuously, or often carry heavy objects, due to continuous standing, the stretching ability of the lumbar tendons and ligaments is weakened, and excessive lactic acid can accumulate locally, inhibiting the normal metabolism of the lumbar muscles. The waist is overloaded, scoliosis is prone to occur, and it can also lead to low back pain caused by lumbar muscle strain. Abnormal standing or sitting postures, and wearing a too tight waistband can also cause low back pain.

Spondylitis: After the onset of ankylosing spondylitis, patients will gradually experience pain and/or stiffness in the buttocks, hips, lower back and/or back, especially when lying down for a long time (at night) or sitting for a long time, with difficulty turning over. The lower back will be obviously stiff when getting up in the morning or standing up after sitting for a long time, but the pain will be relieved after activity. Some patients feel severe pain in the buttocks and hips, which occasionally radiates to the surrounding areas. The harm of ankylosing spondylitis is quite great. If not treated in time, it may even cause spinal stiffness, deformity, or even disability, affecting normal work and life. Therefore, the principle of early detection and early treatment must be followed.
