What are the reactions to being nine weeks pregnant?

Pregnancy is the happiest thing for women. It can bring tremendous changes to women's lives. First of all, pregnancy will cause changes in women's bodies. The most typical one is that the belly gradually becomes bigger, which brings certain restrictions to women's activities. Moreover, every pregnant woman needs to have an accurate understanding of the pregnancy status at each stage. Let’s take a look at what the reactions are during the ninth week of pregnancy.

You are 9 weeks pregnant and you should have some early pregnancy symptoms at this stage. Of course, some pregnant women do not react at all, and the specific situation varies from person to person.

Most women may experience dizziness, fatigue, drowsiness, increased salivation, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting after 6 weeks of pregnancy. Vomiting often occurs in the early morning or on an empty stomach. Some pregnant women particularly like to eat acidic and cold foods. The above phenomena are called early pregnancy reactions, which usually disappear on their own around 12 weeks after pregnancy. For a few people, early pregnancy reactions are more severe and last longer.

Another thing is that the frequency of urination increases. After 8 weeks of pregnancy, you may experience increased urination frequency, which is caused by the enlarged uterus compressing and irritating the bladder. After 12 weeks of pregnancy, the uterus extends beyond the pelvic cavity, the bladder is no longer compressed and irritated, and the symptoms of frequent urination will relieve themselves.

Changes in the breasts. After pregnancy, under the joint stimulation of estrogen and progesterone, the breasts gradually grow larger from the 8th week, the color of the nipples and areolas deepens, and dark brown nodules appear around the nipples. After 12 weeks, a small amount of clear milk will be secreted.

The uterus of expectant mothers has now doubled in size. How big is it? It is about the size of a tennis ball. As the uterus grows, expectant mothers will feel changes throughout their body. Although you haven't gained much weight, your breasts have become much larger, the pigmentation of your nipples and areolas has darkened, and your waist circumference has increased a lot. You may feel frequent tightness and pain in your legs, back pain, etc. These symptoms are normal and there is no need to worry too much.

The hair and skin of expectant mothers are also undergoing subtle changes. Their hair may feel thick and shiny, or greasy, thin and soft. Remember not to blow-dry, perm or dye their hair. Their skin will also be different from usual. Some may develop spots or other conditions.
