What to do if you can't defecate during pregnancy

We all know that many women will suffer from constipation when they are pregnant. It is reasonable for women to take a lot of supplements during pregnancy, because the best supplements will always make people get angry. Moreover, when women are pregnant, the progesterone will also cause some changes in the digestive system. So what should women do if they cannot defecate during pregnancy?

Generally, there are obvious pregnancy reactions after pregnancy, including anorexia, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms. Gastrointestinal motility is also relatively slow during this time. It can easily cause bloating, abdominal fullness and discomfort, so it is best to adjust your diet, avoid eating raw, cold, spicy and irritating foods, and avoid eating potatoes, beans, onions, sticky cakes and other difficult-to-digest foods that can easily cause gastrointestinal bloating. It is best to eat small meals frequently and eat more nutritious and easily digestible foods.

Spicy food must be avoided. Develop the habit of regular bowel movements and squatting on the toilet to defecate once every morning. Even if you don’t feel like having a bowel movement in the morning, you should still develop the habit of squatting on the toilet. When you feel the urge to defecate, you must go to the toilet as soon as possible, eat more vegetables, bananas, sweet potatoes, sesame oil, honey, drink more water, etc. every day. It will definitely improve constipation.

After pregnancy, gastric acid secretion decreases, the tension of gastrointestinal smooth muscles decreases, and peristalsis weakens. At the same time, due to the weakening of abdominal wall muscle tension, the large intestine's absorption of water increases, so pregnant women are more likely to suffer from constipation.

1. Drink a cup of honey water on an empty stomach every morning, or as a beverage at other times.

2. Eat some figs, prunes, etc.

3. The diet should not be too refined, and a combination of coarse and fine foods should be used. Eat more fruits, vegetables and other foods rich in vitamins.

4. Under the guidance of a doctor, take appropriate medicines with mild laxative effects, such as Daodao, Ma Ren Ci Pi Wan, etc.

5. If the condition is more serious, you can choose to use enema or glycerin suppository. It must be done under the guidance of a doctor. It is strictly forbidden to use laxatives, especially in the late pregnancy, to prevent miscarriage.
