Is it dangerous for people with scar constitution to have a second child?

People may encounter some diseases in their daily life and work. Some diseases only occur in a small number of people. Scar constitution is such a special and rare disease, most of which is manifested by the continuous enlargement of surface scars after wound healing. Many people with this physique are worried about the impact on the fetus during pregnancy. So, is it dangerous for people with scar constitution to have a second child?

First, is it dangerous for people with scar constitution to have a second child?

Whether a person with a scarring constitution can have a second child depends mainly on whether the expectant mother goes to the hospital for a check-up to understand the situation. Even if the first child has no adverse birth history and the baby is healthy, you still need to pay attention to pre-pregnancy check-ups when preparing for the second child. Through pre-pregnancy check-ups, you can detect physical abnormalities in time and receive timely treatment to provide a good living environment for the fetus. It is recommended that couples start prenatal checkups 3-6 months before pregnancy. Routine pre-pregnancy check-ups for women mainly include: routine blood tests, urine analysis, infectious disease tests (syphilis serum antibody test, HIV antibody test, hepatitis, chlamydia test), four eugenics tests (rubella virus, cytomegalovirus, toxoplasmosis and herpes simplex virus, etc.) and genetic disease tests, reproductive system examinations (cervical cancer screening, ultrasound, etc.). If there is no rubella virus antibody in the body, it is best to get the rubella vaccine six months before pregnancy to prevent infection during pregnancy. If you are infected with viruses such as rubella, cytomegalovirus, toxoplasmosis, herpes simplex, etc. in early pregnancy, it may cause malformation. If you have given birth to a deformed baby or a baby with a genetic disease in the past, you will be at the same risk the next time you become pregnant, so prenatal screening and diagnosis are necessary.

Second, after the first caesarean section of a woman with a scar constitution, before preparing for the second child, she should go to a regular hospital for an ultrasound examination to see whether the uterine incision has healed. However, almost half of women who undergo cesarean section will experience poor healing of the uterine incision. When the incision heals poorly, the uterine muscle layer will become thinner. Clinically, there is a 1%-3% chance of uterine rupture during delivery. However, the current view is that although poor wound healing may increase the risk of uterine rupture during delivery, it cannot be used as a contraindication to vaginal delivery, let alone a contraindication to subsequent pregnancy.

Is it dangerous for people with scar constitution to have a second child? If people with scar constitution are found to have poor healing of uterine incision before preparing for a second child, the risk of infertility will increase, and the risk of the embryo implanting in the scar during pregnancy will also increase. If the fetus implants in the uterine scar, it is very dangerous and may cause uterine rupture and heavy bleeding. It is recommended to listen to the opinions and suggestions of the clinician before deciding whether to terminate the pregnancy. For people with a scar-prone constitution, it is usually recommended to wait at least two years before having a second child after a caesarean section for the first child. The incision on the uterine wall after cesarean section does not heal well in the short term. In premature pregnancy, the uterus continues to grow due to the development of the fetus, and the uterine wall becomes thinner, especially the cesarean section incision, which is connective tissue and lacks elasticity. Fresh scars can easily rupture in late pregnancy or during delivery, causing massive abdominal bleeding and even life-threatening. Therefore, it is safer for women with scar constitution to get pregnant again two years after caesarean section. After pregnancy, you should go to the hospital for check-up and delivery to avoid danger. The first child was delivered by caesarean section, and the second child does not necessarily have to be delivered by caesarean section.
