How many days of pregnancy can I do color Doppler ultrasound

When we women are pregnant, we will take some measures to observe the condition of the fetus for the safety of the fetus in our belly. There are many ways to observe the condition of the fetus, including color ultrasound. However, there are certain requirements for color ultrasound. We can only do color ultrasound after a period of pregnancy, otherwise it will cause some serious consequences. So how many days of pregnancy can we do color ultrasound?

Too many B-ultrasounds within the first two months of pregnancy will affect the embryonic cell division and human brain formation. During the 4th, 5th and 6th months of pregnancy, due to the incomplete development of the fetal organs, too many color ultrasounds will affect the development of the fetus. Of course there are exceptions when there are unusual circumstances. The best time for color ultrasound examination is generally after 5-6 months of pregnancy. The older the fetus is, the smaller the impact of ultrasound on the fetus. It is generally believed that it is best not to perform B-ultrasound on a fetus within 18 weeks of pregnancy, especially in the early stages of pregnancy. Of course, special circumstances are excluded. For example, those with vaginal bleeding need to undergo color Doppler ultrasound to determine whether the fetus is alive, whether the pregnancy can continue, whether there is an abnormal pregnancy or hydatidiform mole, etc.

Suggestions for color Doppler ultrasound examination: 1. The first examination time is 18-20 weeks of pregnancy. At this time, it can be determined whether it is a single or multiple pregnancy, and the fetal head circumference can be measured. Because the errors of many fetal ultrasound indicators are relatively small at this stage, it is convenient to verify the gestational age.

2. The second check-up is scheduled between 28 and 30 weeks of pregnancy. The purpose of doing color ultrasound at this time is to understand the development of the fetus, whether there are any surface deformities, and to further understand the position of the fetus and the amount of amniotic fluid.

3. The last time is at 37-40 weeks of pregnancy. The purpose of the color Doppler ultrasound examination at this time is to determine the fetal position, fetal size, degree of placental maturity, whether the umbilical cord is wrapped around the neck, etc., to conduct the final evaluation before delivery.

If there are other special circumstances, you need to do an ultrasound in the early stages of pregnancy, but you should go after 6 weeks of pregnancy. Only then can the color ultrasound show images. If you go too early, the color ultrasound examination will not show images.

To take a full-body picture of the fetus: You can choose to do a four-dimensional color ultrasound in the early pregnancy. At this time, the fetus is still small, and the baby's whole body can be photographed through the instrument. It is worth reminding that it is not recommended to do a four-dimensional color ultrasound in January and February, and there is controversy about doing the four-dimensional during this pregnancy.

To check for external defects of the fetus: You can choose to do a four-dimensional color ultrasound in the second or third trimester. At this time, the baby's body has developed to a certain extent, and it is impossible to take a whole body picture of the baby, but you can observe the shape of a certain part of the baby.
