Breast augmentation surgery process

Breast augmentation surgery process

A woman's breasts are the sexiest part of her body. Many female friends consider big breasts to be beautiful, so breast augmentation surgery is becoming more and more common in our lives. However, many people who have undergone breast augmentation surgery say that the process is very uncomfortable. There are mainly two types of breast augmentation surgery: silicone breast augmentation and injection breast augmentation. They each have their own advantages and disadvantages, and also pose certain hazards to the human body.

1. Breast augmentation surgery

Breast augmentation surgery is a procedure to enlarge small breasts that are not developed or are underdeveloped, also known as breast enlargement surgery. There are three common breast augmentation surgeries at this stage, namely, breast augmentation with implants, breast augmentation with autologous fat transplantation, and breast augmentation with injections.

However, we still need to remind everyone that various breast augmentation surgery methods have obvious advantages and disadvantages. The information people learn from advertisements or plastic surgery hospitals is often one-sided and must be considered carefully.

2. Advantages and Disadvantages

This method has been widely used throughout the world since the birth of silicone prostheses in the 1960s. It is a traditional and mature breast augmentation method. Prostheses are divided into silicone and water bags.

advantage:

1. It has been used for decades and is a mature breast augmentation surgery method;

2. The prosthesis can be completely removed when it is no longer needed.

shortcoming:

1. There will be incision scars that cannot be erased after surgical incision;

2. Breast implants are placed under the pectoralis major muscle. They feel different from normal breasts. When the muscles contract, the breasts become hard, resulting in the embarrassing situation that people often say "they turn into stone when hugged."

3. Complications:

1. Breast "hardening" (according to the latest reports, the rate of contracture and hardening is less than 5%);

2. Prosthesis rupture (according to the latest report, the 10-year prosthesis rupture rate is less than 5%). Once ruptured, if it is a water bag, it will have little impact on the body. However, if it is liquid silicone, especially silicone oil, it will penetrate into the body tissue and be difficult to completely remove, which will cause certain harm to the body. Therefore, breast augmentation with implants also has risks.

4. Silicone Breast Augmentation

Silicone breast augmentation products can be used in a wide temperature range and have good tissue compatibility. They do not cause cancer, mutagenesis, or teratogenesis. They are also quite satisfactory in terms of tear resistance, hardness, and elastic retraction force. Moreover, silicone breast augmentation is very easy to process and shape, and is also relatively convenient to use. As for the effect, it depends on the individual situation. If there is no sharp object injury after silicone breast augmentation surgery, the silicone will generally not rupture. If it ruptures, the silicone will not flow due to its tight jelly connection and can be removed cleanly. In addition, if a silicone bag is implanted in the breast, a membrane will automatically form around the prosthesis, making the prosthesis relatively closed. No evidence of silicone gel has been found in breast milk. Even if the silicone prosthesis ruptures, the damage will not spread far away.

Injection Breast Augmentation

Injectable breast augmentation involves injecting an artificial chemical substance into the breast space to fill the breasts. my country introduced it and approved it for clinical use in 1997, which caused controversy from all sides. It was suspended for three months in 1998. In January 1999, the State Food and Drug Administration held an expert seminar in Beijing and concluded that "it can continue to be used."

Since its use in 1997, a large number of women in China have received injectable breast augmentation, and the vast majority of the results have been good. However, due to its simple operation and lax management, it is even widely used in beauty salons. Therefore, many complications may also occur: such as infection, bleeding, uneven distribution, nodules, etc. What's more, some doctors fail to handle these complications correctly, causing greater harm to patients. Later, the State Food and Drug Administration again stipulated that it should only be used in "Grade 3" hospitals.
